About this deal

Absolutely beautiful, heart breaking and ultimately about the power of love. I note that many view this as a retelling of The Little Mermaid but I beg to disagree. I found this to be slightly inspired by it yes but only as a vehicle to tell a profound story about depression and the ugly consequences. Triggers: Suicidal Depression, Anxiety, Synesthesia (idk if that's a trigger or not tbch), Survivor's Guilt, Cutting, Suicide, unwanted advances (Note: although these are all thoroughly explored, the author conveyed them in such a way that it isn't disgraced nor encouraged. It is skillfully taken on, and I believe it is a good read for people that are in a safe spot in their own mental health journeys to see them from other's povs) I highly recommend the “Indo Pacific Coral Finder”. I field tested it this summer in Palawan. It is very accurate and does a great job of covering the major genera and some dominant species. Every dive operation in the Indo-Pacific should have at least one (I could hardly keep it away from the resort staff), and it will help alleviate the ‘overwhelmed head-aches’ experienced by many Caribbean researchers when they first visit these high-diversity areas." For me, the perspectives began to run into one another and I just never felt fully engrossed in the story. Having intimately experienced several situations very similar to those in this book, Sara Ella nails the spiraling mindset of suicide, and this book could potentially provide some perspective and compassion for someone who “just doesn’t understand” (as I’ve heard people say).

Sara Ella took this single quote from Hans Christian Andersen’s tale, The Little Mermaid, and then spun and wove it into a beautifully crafted story about mental illness, heartbreak, and love. It's hard to put into words how I feel about this book. It's heartbreaking and tragic as it realistically portrays the pain of suicide, depression, and anxiety, but it's hopeful in that it doesn't end there. The beauty of this story is that it gives lasting hope to those who are struggling with mental health while encouraging them to hold on a little longer. For starters, when I say this book I mean like bottom of the ocean deep. This book holds a lot of triggers, but it was kind of nice to see them presented in a more clean way. And somehow this book was heartwarming and I feel like I'm family with these characters now <33 The book isn't for everyone. (If you're thinking of reading it, I'd encourage you to research the content warnings, as there are many.) Stunningly beautiful . . . . I will never look at a coral reef in the same way again and will marvelAs a reader, you can tell all the perspectives are related somehow, as the storylines begin to run parallel, but you don't know exactly how. Coral chain bought in MBO for 860m pounds". The Scotsman. 3 August 2002. Archived from the original on 1 August 2017 . Retrieved 28 November 2016. Coral, a modern-reimagining of The Little Mermaid, follows three perspectives through their struggles with mental illness.

There was also details about a character that was pregnant before marriage, cleverly worded presumptions of a character that's thoughts were of assault and rape (they didn't get very close) Next is Brooke, and boy I looked forward to her povs. She was also naive (which kills me), but a cool character. The beauty of this type of book is it can be dipped into at any stage because of the nature of the mini chapters. This book will obviously appeal to marine biologists and divers but as a general guide to coral reefs biology, flora and fauna and how the crucial impact of climate change will impact on them, then it will also appeal to all readers with an interest in general natural history. Highly recommended."—Roy Stewart, British Naturalists Association This book brought up so many emotions and memories and struggles. It was hard because of the triggers in the book, but I also felt in some ways that it helped me deal with those emotions + grieving. I am so torn. I really wanted to love this book. However, I want to give a HUGE thank you to the author. I love that she took a popular fairy tale and used it to bring awareness to mental health, depression, anxiety, and suicide. The fact that mental health is the sole focus of this book is amazing.

For the girl who is not okay. For the boy who wonders if it will ever get better. This story is for you. Clearly the best guide out there for understanding how to identify corals in the field. Teaches the process, allowing identification to different taxonomic levels and can adapt to taxonomic changes in future." Will Rooney Rule the World Cup? Will Messi Make His Mark? The Coral Dugout Will Be Full of World Cup Insight and Excitement This Summer!". Market wired. 24 May 2010 . Retrieved 28 November 2016.
