This series has and always shall hold a special place in my heart. I give Gabriel's Promise 4 and half big hearts!! Aside from the love story, there are a number of obstacles the two face in this book regarding their careers, as well as some more risky threats. I personally thought maybe too much was thrown in here. You have:

Brilliantly written, Gabriel's Promise was a delightful addition to the series as Reynard is a masterful storyteller. I appreciated the time this author dedicated to explaining past circumstances and characters, whenever they arose, reminding me of Gabriel and Julianne's history. There was a heavy focus on the academics and theories involving Dante and Beatrice, a bit much at times, as I found myself a tad distracted from this couple's love story. Like with previous novels, the plot was a delicious slow-build, laced with a scorching hot passion, oodles of drama and mystery that had me totally consumed. My only gripe was I did not want the story to end, especially leaving some matters unresolved. I do hope that there will be another sequel soon, that would tie up all loose ends. The third book in the wildly romantic Gabriel's Infernoseries by Sylvain Reynard, following on from Gabriel's Infernoand Gabriel's Rapture. What is she doing?" The Professor peered into the rearview mirror at his wife, who was seated behind him, next to Clare. I will never be worthy of you, but I promise always to love and protect you, to honor and cherish you. The specter of his father intruded on his happiness, prompting a spontaneous promise. Si debo ser sincera, lo leí más por curiosidad que por otra cosa. La verdad que no me hubiera ofendido para nada si Reynard hubiera dejado esta historia como trilogía ya que el libro anterior quedó bastante cerrado pero como dije anteriormente, me gustó, lo disfruté. I loved to see how the marriage between Gabriel and Julia is evolving. I really like this Julia. She’s confident, playful, and sexy with her husband. We see her humor many times during the story. She also stands for what she believes, no matter if Gabriel agrees with her or not.

I think I’ve come to the conclusion that there will never be enough Gabriel Emerson in my life. So I for one welcome ALL the books about this gorgeously intelligent man and his beautiful family.Julia nodded. "Gabriel will have to carry her. I'm not supposed to lift anything over nine pounds because of the stitches." Gabriel’s Promise is a labor of love. Evidently, all of Sylvain Reynard’s works have an incredible amount of research. He takes care of the simplest details in each of his books, like setting the dates for each of his stories and choosing and developing the themes of lectures.
