All in all, the Lenovo ThinkPad X240 is a well-made ultrabook with typical business-friendly characteristics. In a direct comparison, it is still marginally better than its predecessor model, the Intel HD Graphics 4000, yielding 3286 points during 3D Mark Vantage (instead of 3198) and 799 points in 3D Mark 11 (instead of 627). The Intel Graphics HD 4400 chip performed as expected; the X240's 3DMark 11scores of 1,445 (Entry) and 209 (Extreme) were a bit higher than those of the Sony VAIO Pro 13 scores (1297 and 208, respectively) but slightly lower than the Dell Latitude e7240 Touch (1,600 and 259, respectively).

Definitely an improvement: Battery life is better than ever, despite a smaller-sized battery being used.
