About this deal

The sparkles give it a very unique look but its subtle enough not to look like a raver at the next board meeting. This isn’t a problem on most papers such as my bullet journal, but on many cheap papers, it feathers quite a bit. It is a high quality fountain pen with a snap cap, chrome details and a beautiful fine textured finish. This was an unplanned purchase but while I was browsing the web a few months ago I came upon these Chinese pens and noticed that brands like Jinhao and Hero have a huge variety of designs. We always recommend you give your pen a good cleaning first, using our Goulet Pen Flush, or a drop of dish soap in some water.

Every one of them has been blessed with a smooth nib, although I have always chosen a medium option. People that are happy with them tend not to come on and say so, unlike others who tend to come on and moan like hell about every little thing they can find on a pen that costs a couple of dollars. It took me this long to review the pen because I've been using it for several weeks with multiple inks.Chinese quality control seems to have advanced very quickly and the quality of their lacquer for example is up there with some of the big names. I have a jinhao x750 also with a medium nib and had the same problem for a while but then I bought a set of . Mine has been pretty good though after having it awhile I think I would have picked another color this time. New pens often have some machining oil residue left in the feed, so a good cleaning often does the trick first. Without the cap, its about the same weight as a capped Lamy Al-Star, with the cap posted, its heavier than a Lamy Studio.

You will probably still have to pay some form of import duty to your local tax authorities when your parcel arrives. I have another flex nib from FPR and can clearly read my bad handwriting if I do not flex it and use the fine nib.I was looking at both of these pens and I was wondering if there was really any difference between them? I am of a mind to give the converter a second chance because the inks I used didn't flow very well, so perhaps an ink which flows more easily will work better in it. Water will usually do the trick, but we recommend you use our Goulet Pen Flush if the ink has been left in the pen for a while and could have dried up, or when you’re switching ink colors. The Jinhao X750 Shimmering Sands is an attractive chameleon going from near black to rainbow sparkly depending on lighting conditions.
