About this deal

Due to the pressure from the pressurised air surrounding the membrane, water will start to exit the vessel until the membrane is deflated.

Definitely recommed the seller and of course the [[ASIN:B01BGZQVY6 ARB18 Expansion Vessel (Baxi Megaflow system) ]] if you are looking for one.An unvented cylinder is expected to be checked/serviced every year and that would usually include checking the EXV. My current Baxi boiler system needed topping up on a daily basis so bought the ARB18 Expansion Vessel (Baxi Megaflow system) Package Content :1x ARB18 Expansion Vessel (Baxi Megaflow system) FittingsThe item arrvied sooner than expected, kudos to the seller.

All versions supplied with a replaceable membrane meaning the vessel can be serviced without being removed. All Aquasystem expansion vessels are supplied with a replaceable membrane, which separates the water and air, to prevent contamination of the water system, corrosion of the expansion vessel or pressure loss in the water system. Definitely recommed the seller and of course the ARB18 Expansion Vessel (Baxi Megaflow system) if you are looking for one. As the process is going on, the membrane deflates until the pressure reaches its minimal threshold value. Happy to get it done by G3 engineer but an idea of how long it will take so I can gauge cost would be a great help, as if I point it out to Valliant service guy Im sure the cost will be astronomical and they'd yellow tape the system and switch it off if I didnt proceed.

Not just the static pressure but probably letting all the air out ( which can also contain water on the air side! The main purpose of an expansion vessel is to compensate for the increase in volume of water due to the varying water temperatures in hot water or heating systems. The Aquasystems ARB Potable Expansion Vessels are manufactured to comply with UK water regulations and are tested and certified by WRAS. THE AQUASYSTEMS ARB POTABLE EXPANSION VESSELS ARE MANUFACTURED TO COMPLY WITH UK WATER REGULATIONS AND ARE TESTED AND CERTIFIED BY WRAS.

The expansion vessel allows for this extra space, as when water temperature increases the membrane inside the vessel inflates to allow the water to fill the vessel. When water is heated it expands and as water is not compressible this increased volume will create a rise in pressure within the system. Hi I have the boiler serviced every year by Valliant (although they use subs) as a condition of the ten year warranty so would expect them to keep an eye on the system . Yep - standard reply for unvented - happy to pay a G3 plumber - want to be sure they don't fit the same kit and don't get overcharged.
