She is definitely the star of the show, and the reason why I’ll continue to read this series for the time being. There are moments in the story that break from this and have more intense and honest moments, but for the relationship buildup things are very rarely explicit. The player assumes the role of a nameless character (the titular "Boku", who closely resembles Kraft Lawrence). In the novels she is large enough to carry Lawrence like a horse, and she can easily leap the walls of Ruvinheigen, but is small enough to fit in Hans Remelio's office with Remelio and Lawrence. If that is a selling point, however, it may be of a disappointment, since that is not the primary focus of this series.

The flow of the dialogs especially between the main characters Kraft and Holo is amazingly done, like when they're teasing each other or throwing quick hilarious comebacks or brainstorming for ideas all are wonderful to read and you'll even get a laugh out of it.

The story is a bit messy in my opinion but the art is very good for a manga that is an adaptation of a light novel.

The series is often known for its focus on the world of commerce, market, and trade rather than typical tropes of its fantasy settings. Can't say the same for her earlier transformation scenes in the series, as those were terrifying to witness and I don’t blame Lawrence for passing out. While the more arc-based stories center around money-creed corporations, curses, scammers and talking-hares even, they are all essentially spiced with the our two main characters just being there for each others, learning about one another and deciding what they really want from life.

If the show was pitched to me by the Internet as “a medieval trading slice of life with cute tsundere wolfgirl show”, I’d say this does the job, and I’d give it a 7/10 for it.
