Included in the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack; LEGO Dimenions Video Game, LEGO Toy Pad, Bricks to build the LEGO Gateway, 3 LEGO minifigures - Batman, Gandalf (Lord of the Rings) and Wyldstyle (LEGO Movie), LEGO Batmobile vehicle. Build the minifigure heroes and fire-up the game to start the experience, then follow the in-game build instructions to assemble the loose bricks into the LEGO Gateway, and place the structure on the LEGO Toy Pad. In typical LEGO game fashion, there’s also golden bricks to find, and studs to collect that can be spent on a variety of items, including power and weapon upgrades for the Batmobile, as well as new abilities to unlock new areas.

The game also features character and setting cameos from other franchises, including HAL 9000 from the Space Odyssey series, S.With all of the elements collected, Vortech unlocks the Foundation of All Dimensions (which is a green Lego plate) and is imbued with near-unlimited power.

Players progress through linear levels, using their characters' abilities to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, collect collectibles such as Minikits, Characters in Peril, Gold Bricks, and attempt to reach the level's end.
