About this deal

An ordinary photograph causes a mother's world to unravel in this shocking thriller from the bestselling author and creator of the hit Netflix drama Fool Me Once . Very few authors can keep you turning pages late into the night, desperate to know what happens to their characters and trying to unravel their plots. When her husband sees the photo that night, he leaves their home and drives off without explanation. I did get the answers I was looking for although some of them I feel just a little bit underwhelming and it’s saddening that this certain character had to die. As the town turns against him, Tom must rely on his own instincts and strength to track down the killer.

There's so much happening in the plot you just have to keep reading, trying to figure out how it all connects.I am a big fan of Harlan Coben's Myron Bolitar series, and was a little wary of trying one of his standalones, but I'm glad I did.

Of course this reader also loves an Aussie reference: “She grabbed a bottle of Lindemans, a decent-yet-cheap Chardonnay from Australia, and popped the cork.

Los personajes, están lo suficientemente perfilados, pero no hay ninguno que vayas a recordar con el tiempo. Perhaps because I enjoy his books so much, I’ve often been a little disappointed with the audio-visual representations of his work.

One of them looks like her husband Jack in the days before she met him on a beach in France, where she had gone to escape from her celebrity as a survivor of a mass tragedy. I enjoyed the juxtaposition between suburban life and the popping up of questionable characters like Vespa and Cram. Her world turned upside down, filled with doubts about her herself and marriage, Grace must confront the dark corners of her own tragic past as she struggles to learn the truth, find her husband, and save her family. Lee Coben's latest novel is a riveting story of love and violence set against the backdrop of a small town in upstate New York. Coben’s new novel focuses on Grace Lawson, a married woman with two small children who is very happy with her life, despite the fact that she still has a limp and nightmares stemming from the concert she attended fifteen years prior.Unlike other Harlan Coben novels where the protagonist was male, this book tried to spice things up by having a female protagonist instead. I also liked how some of them were rather mysterious and remained that way throughout the entire story.
