About this deal

The go-for-broke action scene feels like the blueprint for Walter Hill’s delirious bar finale in Another 48 HRS with civilian causalities as high as the good guy and bad guy body count. On top of keeping the action scenes dynamic through camera movement and editing, there are some stylishly lit scenes, such as the fashion show and a cool fight in a red-lit room. This film contains so much Hong Kong style martial art action and there are enough crazy stunts that if you are remotely interested in this kind of film, then this movie would be a very wise purchase. I love that so many classic (and some just fun/guilty pleasure) martial arts flicks are being given solid remastering and physical releases.

Incredibly violent and bloody, In the Line of Duty III has a couple of standout fights – particularly the climax that has Khan going one-on-two with the villains in a factory – and while the film is tightly edited and executed, there’s a sense of coldness to the proceedings that I found to be a little off-putting. Some of the other details include a discussion of some of the realities of making an action film in HK; a discussion of the history of Martial Arts films; details about the stunt work done on In the Line of Duty IV – how it was some of the most dangerous looking stunts accomplished; and much more.I believe it's pretty much just an extra commentary on each of the 4 films that Eureka has and 88 doesn't. However, when it comes to subtitling (mere translation, timing the subs with the dialogue) this is where I'm seeing significant differences. It’s not the most insightful of tracks, with Hammond often pointlessly describing the plot we already know after having watched the film, and Wong simply admiring the stunts.

His partner, Hiroshi Fujioka (played by Hiroshi Fujioka, though he’s not actually playing himself), is there when it happens and vows to get revenge. First, they assassinate Peter’s family in a car bomb right in front of him, and Yip does her best to help solve the case, despite being taken off the case by her exasperated boss. I've never seen the film before, so I'm not sure if that's the way it's always been, or if it is something that crept in with this Blu Ray release? For the week that ended on May 20th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its debut, beating fellow new release Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre from Lionsgate Home .With a rather downbeat tone and a conclusion that doesn’t necessarily feel like a “happy ending,” the movie deserves a rewatch if it’s thus far escaped your attention. It’s obvious right from the start that she’s a force to be reckoned with; her skills in martial arts are incredible, and she has no problem speaking up for herself when she’s being pandered to and disregarded by her superiors. In the Line of Duty III opens in Japan, with criminal couple Genji Nakamura (Stuart Ong) and Michiko Nishiwaki (Michiko Nishiwaki) heading a brazen jewellery heist at a high-class fashion show, in which they massacre a large proportion of the audience.

In real-life, Donnie Yen speaks excellent english, and his physical ability is on a par with Jet Li's or Jackie Chan's. Was diesen aber von den anderen abhebt, sind zum einen die grandios choreographierten Kämpfe von Yuen-Woo Ping, der hier auch Regie führte, sowie das Talent von Hauptdarsteller Donnie Yen. Rothrock’s character (as usual) is susceptible to sexist and racist remarks from her Asian counterparts, and she proves them all wrong with her amazing prowess as a fighter. It’s great to get a first-hand account of the making of one of these classic slices of Hong Kong action cinema. Review: New to the Hong Kong police force, Rachel Yeung (Cynthia Khan) is constantly treated like a delicate flower and continually relegated to sub-par duties, and because the captain is her uncle, she’s never given the proper respect because she’s a woman. With every good and bad guy seemingly double clutching everything from 9mm’s to Uzi’s in this film it’s almost a shock to the system from the opening Robbery to the very last frame. Then you’ve come to the right place; we’ve got action heroes, martial arts, exploitation and movies generally with a huge body count. His performance, on the whole, isn’t particularly likeable though, as he comes across as a bit of an *rsehole. Action superstar Donnie Yen and Cynthia Khan team up with legendary martial-arts director Yuen Woo-ping in this fan-favourite fourth entry in the In the Line of Duty film series.
