At that time I was getting very burned out on all of the NIN sound-alikes being released and might have lumped this in with them (as many critics did). I like all of the tracks on this album ,but if I had to pull out a favourite it would be either the first track "Pure" or the album closer "I can't breathe. The songs are exellent - some of the lyrics are searing, and combined with a much more 'heavy' style of music, the results are awesome - you can feel the rage and the pain that the lyrics project. While both "Sacrifice" and "Exile" are good albums that helped bring Gary some long awaited credibility "pure" is the album that it all came together.
