About this deal

This was a quick and easy read, but would have been quicker if I skipped ahead to page 85 or whatever as he suggested several times while describing different life “prisons” early on. If there is no reason to do anything, if life is pointless, then there is also no reason to not do anything. Some of the authors they publish include Sylvia Browne, John Edward, Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Barbara De Angelis, Phil McGraw, Suze Orman, Carnie Wilson and Wayne Dyer. Taking something sacred and powerful, and presenting it in a unique, down to earth, fun, and naughty way is just f**king brilliant.

If Eckhart Tolle and a rowdy, four-letter loving sailor/bartender/badass had a child (go with it), this would be the result. The moments when we don’t give a fuck and take action are often the moments that most define the course of our lives. He makes the assumption that his readers are all well off individuals who can afford to cut back on working and can focus on other things. Our physical bodies will die, but we cling to the idea that we can live on through religion, politics, sports, art, and technological innovation. After getting through the 200 pages of this nonsense, there is then an advert for the 'retreat' that the author runs.

I can't really recommend this book to anyone as there are better books in the same venue (with a stronger scientific base). Counterintuitive insight by Baumeister regarding evil: some of the worst criminals often felt good about themselves. I used to think one should also bring in the factor of language and style, and be more professional about it.We get to control what our problems mean to us based on how we choose to think about them and how we choose to measure them. On the cover, it might have been cute, but considering the number of times that the author actually uses the word fuck in the book, it just became annoying. One of the most pervasive narratives about masculinity in our culture is that the most valuable thing a man can attain is sex and it’s worth sacrificing nearly anything to get it. In a world that seems to demand more of our time and attention every day - and makes us feel like we should apologize when we just don't have enough - we could all benefit from a little schooling in the fine art of just 'not giving a f*ck. F**k It helps us escape: by getting things into perspective, tuning into what we really want and going for it no matter what others think.

I feel like I've already learned to relax more and I've already learnt to let things go easier, just a day after finishing.Parkin suggest that saying Fuck It is the perfect Western expression of the Eastern spiritual ideas of letting go, giving up and finding real freedom by realising that things don't matter so much (if at all). In the end, F*** It: The Ultimate Spiritual Way may not be prize-winning literature, but it is enjoyable and worth the read for its fresh approach to life and all its demands. In this inspiring and humorous book, John suggests that saying F**k It is the perfect Western expression of the Eastern spiritual ideas of letting go, giving up and finding real freedom by realising that things don't matter so much (if at all). Se tutti imparassero a usare nel modo giusto, liberatorio e non aggressivo, questa espressione, probabilmente ci sarebbero meno medici, meno psicologi e, perché no? In this highly entertaining and motivational book, John sets out to prove that when we do what we love, we're actually more likely to be happier, healthier, wealthier, and more successful.

The book is a reaction to the self-help industry and what Manson saw as a culture of mindless positivity that is not practical or helpful for most people. Its a reminder to stop listening to other people and start listening to ourselves, to take that leap and to unlock freedom and happiness by saying these two magic words to all the problems and chaos of life. Those easily offended by profanity should not read this book, although I suspect that the title alone is enough of a deterrent in that aspect.Njemu je dosadno u životu bilo i nije ima što raditi i nije zna što će od sebe pa je napisa nešto samo da napiše i onda je ovo napisa. And, as the work of a small UK publisher, Wrecking Ball Press, The Book Of Fuck has superb production values: from the size to the spacing to the use of fonts, this is a book that wants to be read. And it's the very power of this modern-day profanity that makes it perfect for shaking us Westerners out of the stress and anxiety that dominate our meaning-full lives. When you say fuck it, you are giving up your tension in whatever you are saying it to, and replacing it with a mind open to whatever happens next.
