About this deal

ok i know this has probly been said before but i baught the freddie mercury tribute concert on dvd about a month ago and was surprised to find that only half the concert was included. Performer: David Bowie, Roger Daltrey, Def Leppard, Bob Geldof, Guns 'N' Roses, James Hetfield, Elton John, Metallica, George Michael, Liza Minnelli, Robert Plant, Axl Rose, Seal, Slash, Paul Young, Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon etc. Featuring David Bowie, Roger Daltrey, John Deacon, Def Leppard, Guns 'n' Roses, Elton John, Annie Lennox, Seal, Robert Plant, Paul Young and Zucchero. Brian May decides to debut his "Too Much Love Will Kill You" (a Freddie sung version would be released in 1995 on the "Made In Heaven" album. Some of them are downright embarassing for the performig artist (have a look at Extreme's rendition of "Love of my life", to name one).

The concert was produced for television by Ray Burdis, directed by David Mallet and broadcast live on television and radio to 76 countries around the world, with an audience of up to one billion. Metallica's three-song performance was made into a UK tour edition single for "Nothing Else Matters", entitled Live at Wembley Stadium and released in Europe just one week after the concert, on 27 April 1992. Queen and George perform it right at the front of the stage but sadly the song is shortened to one verse and the chorus twice.

Books, media, tickets, Rammstein, Die Ärzte, Die Toten Hosen, Feine Sahne Fischfilet, Broilers, New Balance, Böhse Onkelz, Funko Pop! As well as being great entertainment, the concert raised a huge and still growing sum of money for the Mercury Phoenix Trust, a charity formed at the time whose charter is the relief of suffering from AIDS throughout the world. The concert was originally released in VHS form (usually in two-tape releases worldwide), but due to time limitations, "Love of My Life" and "More Than Words" by Extreme, "Animal" and "Let's Get Rocked" by Def Leppard, Spinal Tap's "The Majesty of Rock", U2's "Until The End of the World", Mango Groove's " Special Star" and Robert Plant's version of "Innuendo" were removed from the original release.

Like the earlier VHS release, this version excludes Extreme's "Love of My Life" and "More Than Words", Def Leppard's "Animal" and "Let's Get Rocked", performance by Spinal Tap, U2 and Mango Groove from the opening acts segment, and Plant's "Innuendo" from the Queen+ segment. The band later released in 2021 a re-mixed and re-mastered version of their performance as well as a rendition of Queen's Stone Cold Crazy with James Hetfield and Tony Iommi on the remastered box set of their album Metallica. While we do our best to provide good quality books for you to read, there is no escaping the fact that it has been owned and read by someone else before you. Just put a lot of old interview footage together with plenty of concert clips and boom, you got a "documentary". The US release also omitted Bob Geldof's performance of "Too Late God", and Zucchero's performance of " Las Palabras de Amor". Before anyone makes a "It should be shown in it's original aspect ratio" quip, the concert's director, David Mallet, remastered the DVD personally so clearly he was ok with a widescreen presentation.

Roger Daltrey of The Who appears on stage accompanied by the opening of "Pinball Wizard" and his trademark microphone twirling. Clearly nervous, Brian's voice breaks several times but considering the tone of the song and nature of where it's being sung, I suppose it makes it appropriate. The music then commenced with short sets from artists that were influenced by the music of Queen, including Metallica, Extreme (playing a Queen medley), Def Leppard (who brought Brian May onstage for a version of " Now I'm Here"), and Guns N' Roses.I honestly do not comprehend what other reviewers go complaining about, in terms of video quality, but I'll tell you what: this concert has never looked better.
