The attraction and the idea of two soul mates finding each other is really what drives the book to be such a success in conveying feelings to the reader.I usually steer away from sci-fi settings, but the author does an excellent job at building a unique space setting that does not overwhelm the story. I quickly abandon that line of thought when the image of Silas and Logan at the bar reminds me of the way Silas looked sitting there with that woman last night.

Logan is already more than half in the bag and canoodling with the less than optimistic bartender by the time Silas meets him at the bar. The main characters are two fated lovers, as it becomes increasingly clear, destined to be together in real life not just in (SPOILER SPOILER) and then the end comes and BAM! His olive skin gives way to scratchy looking, unkempt stubble; it starts halfway up his neck and peppers his cheeks and chin in patches.
