The family sailed to the United Kingdom in 1815, and Poe attended the grammar school for a short period in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland, where Allan was born, before rejoining the family in London in 1816. What I didn't know was that Poe penned two other stories containing Dupin and his friend/narrator of the stories M.
