Spontaneously it reminds me of Escape for Men by Calvin Klein, although the fragrances have almost nothing in common in terms of content and are a good 10 years apart. I just bought this this week via Germany, not sure how, as its supposed to be discontinued and it smells different. Proctor and Gamble acquired Dunhill (licensing and distribution) in 2003, as part of the Wella acquisition and was then divested to Inter Parfums in 2013.

I am in possession of a 7ml sample bottle of the original from 1984 and recently a 100ml bottle of a younger product. It is sooooo mindboggling that the myths of those magical vintage perfumes are still floating around.

And so i sprayed to squirts on the back of each hand two hours ago and have been monitoring them since. Safe for office and for formal work events (conference, awards, seminar etc), but not enough for non-work formal events (wedding etc).Great scent but the US version is very weak and lasts on me 45 minutes seems very diluted, don't get the box where its says Dunhill London Edition you have to get the box thats says Dunhill Edition, and the Edition word not written in a silver framing, or the best are the ones with the word Edition written on top of the lining of the box and Dunhill on the lower part of the box. I happen to own a full bottle of the vintage version and will not know the difference between that and the current version for a while. I have about a 1/3 bottle of the old version and it spreads its fragrance just passing by it without even moving the bottle. The topnotes do not seem as spicy or as strong as I remember and this one seems to be more herbal than I remember too.

The citrusy opening is actually only marginally perceived, but the floral notes of the second row, such as cyclamen, carnation and some rose geranium and lavender, come through more strongly. To me it's a little too strong and pungent, as is Creed Royal Oud - and they have a similar smoky vibe to them.So Please, please, I beg you vintage hunters, lovers, I understand you that one or two notes are sing a song of your youth but you do not have right to ruin the fragrance experience for the others.

I'm working out of a small splash sample bottle of this, but based on what I smell, how in the world would this be compared with Guerlain Vetiver, Bijan, or Oscar for Men (1999)?This Dunhill cologne for men is as bright and energetic as a sports car, with an invigorating blend of citrus accords from grapefruit and bergamot and a strong clean aromatic floral scent from the key middle note of lavender. No matter where you go or what you do, wearing Dunhill Edition will help you feel confident and ready to take on the world. They would give me the newer fragrances by Dunhill which are not bad, but they were not the original. They continue to be one of the world’s leading manufacturers for high quality leather goods for men, including wallets, belts, and luggage. Strong nutmeg, supported by lemon and fir, with an interesting vetiver/moss drydown, nearly giving the impression of smokiness.
