Lacy had told me about the caramel pretzels for awhile, but it wasn’t until her wedding on New Year’s Eve (did we even really know what 2020 would be? Although these mini caramel pretzels are awesome to hoard and keep all for yourself, they also make a great homemade holiday gift. Dipping – Dip half of the pretzel “sandwich” into the melted chocolate, shake off excess, and place on wax paper.

When you ask me how much I like salted caramel, you get what is probably described as my version of puppy dog Eyes… I get a craving as soon as it’s mentioned, and it’s all I then want to eat. You can put it in a microwave safe bowl and pop it into the microwave, heating it in 10-15 second intervals as to not burn it and mixing it in between each heating. Chocolate caramel pretzels bites can be frozen, but the chocolate and caramel might deteriorate a little easier when thawed- it might crack and the chocolate might be a little discolored. The rest of the recipe, is suitably inspired by my own s alted caramel cupcakes, and my homemade caramel sauce combined.
They stay tasty in an airtight container for several days so they are ready to go when you need them.
Make some of these delicious Mini Caramel Pretzels for an easy holiday gift, or keep them all to yourself. Refrigerate – When all the pretzel bites are done and completely set (you may need to put them in the refrigerator), melt white chocolate and drizzle over the top of the bites. Be sure you butter your pan that you make your caramel in, it doesn’t say to do this, but a small area of my pan didn’t get buttered and it stuck 🙂 I think these will be really good, waiting to dip them tomorrow. You could even drizzle them with white chocolate or green candy melts to make them look extra festive.
Swap out chocolate for colored candy melts or add your favorite sprinkles over regular chocolate for any holiday. More clarity would be really helpful… I am NOT a cook… and trying these recipes are hard for me… but I like to try new things.
