About this deal

I can just see one of the tower blocks that loom here and there like malevolent giants over the rows of Victorian terraces all turned into flats like mine that make up this part of south-east London.

Details are gradually revealed, so at first you have no idea of the back-story or the significance of this friend request, but you learn things little by little. If you're a Librarian and want to process requests, please refer to our Librarian Manual to ensure edits are performed in line with Goodreads policies. The terrible toll bullying takes on the bullied, those close to them, and even the guilt years later of the one who had a part in the bullying. I will immediately condemn the bully as horrible little shit but in this novel to my disbelief I found myself almost siding with Louise and her horrible behaviour.Despite being a fictional thriller, there are definitely real life lessons that we can learn from this book. I really enjoyed this book, which was a nice easy read and would be a good introduction to psychological thrillers for someone who hasn’t tried them before.

It reminds me why I decided to delete my personal account, the idea of people you barely know getting such a personal glimpse into your inner sanctum and keeping in contact with everyone you ever met from high school days seems an odd thing and the perfect basis for a revenge style vendetta so I did quite enjoy the storyline. The book does look interesting, I would like to devote more to reading, I m a volunteer to help students/pupils in school troubles in my village, and more with all the animals that I occupy at home, I have very little left of time for myself, however with your articles I can discover new books.

To keep her secret, Louise must first uncover the whole truth, before what's known to Maria--or whoever's pretending to be her--is known to all.

THE BLURB: A paranoid single mom is forced to confront the unthinkable act she committed as a desperate teenager in this addictive thriller with a social media twist. There are rumours surrounding Maria's transfer to her new school, and of course Louise's friends are happy to exaggerate, and elaborate on these rumours. As a debut novel, it is an accomplished achievement, and I will be keeping an eye on new releases from Laura Marshall.Henry is at Sam’s tonight, so I’ve put in a long day working on some initial plans for a client who wants everything from walls to carpets and sofas in varying shades of beige and taupe, but at the same time doesn’t want the house to look boring. One of the great things about this novel is that there are lots of characters to try and pin the blame on. With the class reunion looming, she cannot avoid uncomfortable questions and tries to find out what has really happened to Maria. And when she receives a friend request on Facebook from a classmate long thought dead, all of the dark secrets of her own personal Pandora's box come flying out as we slowly figure out what happened on the last night that she saw her ex-friend Maria, and what is at stake for her now, as an adult. I have to say, I do use the social media network more than I care to admit, which is why the title of this book grabbed my attention, mainly because I have been dealing with a spate of weird friend request recently, and they always creep me out.

was mean to Maria (that is the name of the late girl), bullying her and making her life misserable, so now after getting that request, and pretty disturbing messages, L.becomes more and more paranoid, afraid of a person who's standing behind Maria's profile and secrets that could come out.
