About this deal

I think anyone could gain quite a lot from reading this book and it certainly had an enormous impact on my own life. The worst thing we can do is neglect our friends and family, as our relationships are our biggest source of happiness.

We’re working on finalising the book proposal to send the US publishers as well to try and get a US + International deal at the same time. While working as a doctor in the UK's National Health Service, Ali started to document his journey towards living a healthier, happier, more productive life on his YouTube channel and other social media platforms. I can sometimes end up in a spiral whereby anytime I’m not working I feel guilty that I’m not generating content or keeping across my subscriber numbers. And he should know: a first-class Cambridge graduate, former NHS doctor, podcaster, investor, teacher, and author, he is best known as the world’s most followed productivity expert, with more than 4 million subscribers to his YouTube channel and hundreds of thousands of students taking his online courses. In the weeks since 'Feel-Good Productivity' hit the shelves and earned its place on the New York Times and Sunday Times bestseller lists, the feedback has been nothing short of amazing! We should allocate our resources – like our time, energy, and talent – on the tasks that bring us closer to our long-term goals. Instead of looking for something that will tell you how to organize, filter, manage, and check off all the to-dos that have piled up, Abdaal's book is different: It teaches you how to love what you're doing and do what you love. As a fellow Doctor, I have watched your progress, leaving medicine and the courage to do what makes your heart sing.

The real point of doing anything is to be happy, so only do what makes you happy and isn’t that the best sentiment to end this post on? The main idea of this book is that by sharing your work with the world, you are working towards helping people which is going to be an inherent good. The lessons that Sivers offers are as much lessons for life as they are for business and can be applied universally. As such, we rarely stop to question where this treadmill is going which is where this metaphor really comes into its’ own – the traditional treadmill of life ultimately goes nowhere – step on it when you go to school and step off it when you retire, perhaps with money in your back pocket but with a body that has been aged by a 30 year career of stress, commutes and worries over falling behind. As part of a new monthly series I’m going to update my public journal about the various goals I’m working towards and make sure I’m allocating my resources to those things that give me the most rewarding outcome. I think a lot of people underestimate how much we can learn from reading – as well as all the other benefits it can offer. I've been creating YouTube videos for over 7 years and have a following of over 4 million over on my main channel.
