About this deal

When he finally finds her, he wants her think about herself because he has lost too many people and he can’t bare to lose her. I felt like she was either too stupid to realize SHE was more important to people than her baby, or she realized it but didn’t care that SHE was important to people and that they didn’t want to lose her. I still don’t completely get why people dislike Nan and why the other characters treat her the way they do, but what she did for Harlow did was really nice.

Abbi Glines masterfully provides progression of the other characters from the previous books in the series alongside the main characters in One More Chance. For instance, all of the men could be interchangeable (except for Rush of course), and the female lead is almost always an innocent little goodie girl who enraptures the lead man with a look. One More Chance is deeply touching and emotional heighten by the creative use of letters within the narrative. But now that she’s gone, he is broken and realizes that she is the only thing that can keep him together.

Really shows how much he has grown up, let's face it he didn't really take much responsibility before Harlow came into his life. We saw both Harlow and Grant point-of-views, and to wrench more emotion, we had letters we read through as the story unwound. After reading One More Chance, I can officially say that Abbi Glines has redeemed Grant’s first book for me. no one understands how hard it is to have a heart problems it isn't easy and Harlow has over came so much in her life. And if you’re not first to the man you love and if he isn’t willing to risk everything to be with you then what is the point. There are moments that make me think I'm listening to an after school special with seriously adult themes, but overall, I enjoyed this story and look forward to all of Abbi Glines' books. Other than people freaking out because she insists on having a child, she ends up fine, with nothing other than a coma.

I am very much looking forward to what's to come, and I have much faith that those things I felt were missing early on in this series are definitely coming. She didn't have too many scenes with this book, but those small parts made a huge impact especially at the end. We see so much character growth and it was the raw emotion from our protagonists that held the story together beautifully. So, dive in, brace yourselves for your heart to be stretched to its limits, but know that you’ll be alright in the end, because there is no greater romantic among us that Ms Glines herself. I get Kiro is trying to understand why she’s not getting an abortion, but that, combined with Harlow’s earlier thoughts of her grandma made me think that her grandma was religious and didn’t believe in abortions. Harlow, on the other hand, has always been a fearless heroine, a young woman used to looking after herself, and that aspect of her personality gets only amplified once she is forced to make some difficult, life-altering decisions.

Seeing Grant’s character handle his fears and acknowledge his bad decisions to win Harlow was moving to read, breaking down and seeing his passionate side come out to get his woman back confirmed who owned his heart. He was such an ass in the previous book but he changed a lot here and became a better man for Harlow. The character development within One More Chance provides the fundamental basis of the story, and what a journey it was. Going into this book two I was excited to see how this playboy/Nan’s bitch planned on redeeming himself. We need to know what's happening with both Grant and Harlow and of course, there's a big secret keeping them apart. When she’s not locked away writing, she is reading, and/or watching Netflix like the introvert that she is.
