In signature 1000 Stories fashion, this batch was aged in traditional French and American oak, with a portion finished in charred bourbon barrels before the final blend was assembled. Winemaker Bob Blue Regional Information Individual lots for this intriguing wine started with the dryfarmed, headtrained Zinfandel vines from Mendocino County, Lodi and Paso Robles Vineyards. Although individual vintage reports are still being written, some key vintages of the past 40 years have region-specific reports.

This wine, aged in Bourbon Barrels has attractive smoky notes to the nose and palate with lasting impressions of richly flavoured vanilla, dried herbs and a hint of caramel. The fruit from the Dry Creek vineyards then provides flavors of complex black fruits and distinct black pepper spice.
