About this deal

The jaw-dropping new design features a sleek QD-OLED curved 1800R panel integrated into the iconic new Legend 2. One seems to run constantly to cool the NVIDIAI G-sync module as with other screens that feature this chip in recent times, while the other only kicks in when the screen is being pushed with something like particularly bright HDR content.

If you’re sensitive to this kind of thing and an obsessive silent PC user then keep them in mind though. Unlike OLED TV’s like the LG 42C2 OLED there is no additional dimming function like ABSL / TPC used here thankfully. We didn’t feel this was a major issue for most casual users to be honest when you consider likely usage scenarios and what the alternative would have been. now which was very good, although some of the shades were a bit less accurate due to that slight under-coverage of the sRGB space. However, its vividness certainly could have been better, and in certain scenes even HDR 400-rated Fast IPS models like the Gigabyte Aorus FI32Q produced a brighter and "punchier" image, if you will. Alienware instead has both standardized its distinctive color scheme—primarily Apple-white paneling with blue accents and lighting—and its overall stand design. Alienware UK have stated that it will land in the UK on 22nd March but the UK product page has yet to appear. ms GtG (Gray to Gray) response time and up 175 Hz (native) high refresh rate, you’ll experience smoother gameplay and view fast-moving graphics with incredible clarity for a faster in-game reaction time. The OSD adjustments should help you reach a better brightness close to 120 nits but actually there is not much else you can change to improve the already pretty decent factory setup. This will vary depending on the light levels and positioning of the lights too but don’t forget that other monitors with their TN Film, IPS and VA panels also nearly all have anti-glare coating and also suffer from similar visual impacts to contrast depending on the light levels, caused in their cases by the coating primarily. Once the Alienware 34 was configured correctly and the HDR test footage was rolling, I was impressed with the overall "richness" of the image, something OLEDs are already well known for. However, I use my monitor for my PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X, and my 21:9 aspect ratio leaves me with the black bars. We will test all of this and more throughout the review and share our thoughts on the new QD-OLED technology, how it performs and whether or not this is the ultimate gaming monitor as it’s been hyped to be! Speaking of build quality, the stand is just as sturdy and reliably ergonomic as previous models in this line, like the Alienware 27.
