About this deal

Rita possesses some form of mind reading, as she is able to work out which ranger knew the location of the Zeo Crystal and that Billy was the heart and soul of the team. That adds some context to her targeting of Trini and her method of doing so, combining elements of ' I Have You Now, My Pretty' and attempts to convince her to abandon the others. Trini is both struggling with her bond with the team, making her the one most vulnerable to such things. In "Return of the Green Ranger", the Clone!Tommy boasts that he's even stronger than White Ranger Tommy. Remember that the Green Ranger powers were recharged three times before being completely drained. Of course they'd be stronger with all that accumulated energy. It also helps explains why Tommy would use his Green Ranger powers again in Power Rangers Super Mega Force. The Power Coins are shown to be a Clingy Macguffin, with Jason's Offscreen Teleporting from his room to the bathroom after him. This explains why Rita still has her Power Coin after 65 million years, even though it was mounted on her staff and the staff was thrown from her body by the meteor impact. Which could be a disaster since the follow up graphic novel reveals that the gold is still imbued with Rita's magic and can infect people, creating half-human monsters driven by her desire to dig up the Zeo Crystal. I do remember the original ‘Fridge’. That was definitely my era. He was a bit of a unit who got about the gridiron field pretty well.

There’s still massive improvement in there. For a defender, he’s still a young guy and he wants to improve. In Season 1’s "A Bad Reflection on You," when news gets out that the Rangers have turned bad, Bulk and Skull cheer them on, which gets them a Death Glare from the real Rangers. Looking at it from an In-Universe civilian’s point of view, you realize they not only deliver it because they ARE the real Rangers, but because of how disgusted they are that these two buffoons would cheer their city’s beloved protectors turning bad. Trini's Race Lift from Asian to Latina goes perfectly with her name since it can be short for "Trinidad" (Trinity), a common female name in the heavily Catholic-influenced Spanish and Latin-American cultures. (Likely an artifact of the TV show pilot, which had a Latina actress instead of Thuy Trang.)Alternatively, she still loves Zordon in her own warped and twisted way; he is after all the only other remaining member of her team. She thought killing Billy would earn Zordon's respect. Billy drowning to death becomes implicitly more terrifying when you remember that in the original series, he was afraid of fish. From our perspective, signing him, even though he’s not the most experienced in terms of his age, he had a really good few years in the Championship down south. In "Calamity Kimberly", after the Rangers are curbstomped by the Samurai Fan Man, Zordon tells them to use their zords to crush the Fan Man while he was still small. You'd think it'd go against his "never escalate a fight" rule but 'escalating' doesn't only refer to making a monster giant, it can also refer to a monster being too powerful for any of their ground weapons to handle. When they finally fought him in their zords when he was giant, they didn't stand a chance, not only were the individual zords overpowered but so was the Dragonzord Battle Mode, which had to use its finisher to cut the monster's jug loose. The Megazord and Dragonzord also fared poorly, with the Ultrazord needed to win the day. One of the rules of being a Ranger is that you can't reveal your identity to anyone, not even loved ones. So everytime the Rangers are battling monsters, especially big monsters, their families have no idea where they are amid the chaos.

Ivan Ooze's reign of terror was put to an end, ushering in a new ear of (relative) peace, 6000 years ago; Zedd started looking for him 2000 years ago. In the Bible, the universe/Earth was said to have been created 6000 years ago, and Jesus lived and died ~2000 years ago. Make of that what you will. This makes Rita Repulsa akin to Sinestro, someone who’s still worthy to wield the power granted to them but is warped and corrupted by its power that she’s wielding it for a different reason than originally intended. For Sinestro it’s because he thinks he has the right to wield this power; for Rita it’s probably a similar reason. This is supported by the novelization where it's said that Ranger Teams can go years without forming a megazord, something the Angel Grove team does not only on their first time piloting them, but within an hour of morphing for the first time. Showing just how much potential they really have as a team. Its canonicity is questionable, but Alpha's Magical Christmas has him bringing children all around the world to the Command Center to celebrate Christmas with him. Alpha 5 and Zordon are kidnapping your children. And some of the songs are specifically Christian. Alpha is forcing a religion some of these children probably don't even celebrate. Also, given any added benefits of multiple legs, why didn't the Tyrannosaurus and Sabertooth Zords have them too? The aliens who designed the Zords certainly didn't mind drastically deviating from the appearance of an actual mastodon, so the Tyrannosaurus Zord didn't have to exactly look like a T. Rex either, especially given the instability of only two legs. We see a glimpse of that with Jason's dad, who keeps trying to call him while the fighting is happening.

If anything Goldar's destruction could result in a mini-gold rush with people trying to get as much as it as possible. Why did Tommy made such a good "White" Ranger for most American audiences? White stands for "purity" and "goodness", which would make it far too easy for someone to go the fanatic route and take on a "kill them all" persona in regards to the people of Angel Grove for not being perfect, but in a sense, Tommy's already been down that route with Rita and the "Green with Evil" arc when he was her fanatical Ranger. So he KNOWS the danger, and knows to stay away from it. People have pointed out two supposed plotholes in "Missing Green." 1. Zedd's candles don't make sense because the Rangers would need to have touched the magic wax the candles were made from. 2. If Zedd could do this, why didn't he create a candle for Jason? What they overlooked was that Zedd captured the other four, meaning he could have forced them to touch the wax. He didn't make a candle for Jason because he didn't have Jason prisoner and thus couldn't force him to touch the wax. Also, he wanted to make Jason feel even worse by having the Rangers lose their powers like Tommy. Lord Zedd's name makes sense when you realize, the letter Z is pronounced 'zed' in just about every country but the US. Rita survived 65 million years underwater so it's more than possible she can survive the cold vacuum of space until Lord Zedd inevitably finds her.

As stated above, Serpentera is a War Zord and is basically built for large scale combat. The horror comes in when you realize that it's implied Zedd obtained Serpentera from Zordon as a trophy of sorts in battle. Exactly what did Zedd do to be able to win a prize like that? Finding out you're basically indestructible, because what else do you call surviving a train hitting your mother's minivan head-on with you and your classmates inside, could go very dark if you want to push the limits. Think what Claire in Heroes did and how gruesome she looked afterward before she regenerated.
