It's soapy, slightly powdery, a little fruity/sweet, with just a touch of musk and spice to add interest. In the top notes I can smell a lemony scent and then I can smell the vanilla, flowers and sandlewood. I don’t do well with anything that has a lot of flowers in it and nothing else or anything with “powder” scents. I am a newbie at discerning individual notes, so all I can tell you is it is a nice floral that smells good through all the stages.

I definitely get some spice from the cardamon, maybe I'm hypersensitive to it because I normally stick to white musk and soft vanilla type scents with no spice at all. It opens with Rainbow Glow, a signature accord we created to replicate the brilliant flash of a prism. This perfume really does give the impression of a clean, fresh woman (sort of the way Brut does for men). With vanilla, jasmine, red berries, amber and woodsy notes, this scent is suitable for a day to day wear, any season.This is kind of your stereotypical "American" perfume (you know, Like Ralph Lauren Romance, Tommy Girl, etc. Everyone loves this perfume and all the reviewers praise this to the high heavens (no pun intended, Dream Angels Heavenly lol). A consumer who hasn't worn this scent for years may not notice a difference, especially if they're going on memory - as opposed to a side-by-side comparison.

If VS tone down the synthetic ingredients and just be more generous with their fragrances instead of adding too much fillers, this fragrant could be a great hit. It was a nice clean perfume if I remember correctly but then I wasn't impressed enough to fall in love with it. Also really love that there is an entire line of bath products in Dream Angels Heavenly--even a candle! I cannot say that it's so bad, because it's not and it's still very wearable of course, but if you compare these flankers side by side, you will see there is something missing.

This is, no doubt, one of the classic fragrances of our time, and I think its appeal will span several generations. After a minute, the scent calms down but remains powdery soft and sweet while a fresh clean soapy note steps forward.

I feel as if it could use a little more sweetness to tame down the cardamom and citrus mix, which is aboslutely vile in my opinion. Then there is a spicy note that does not quite compute with the rest, at least on me, which would be the cardamom. The packaging and formulation have changed over the years but remained relatively similar until 2014, which is when we parted ways. luckily, heavenly isnt nearly as popular as it used to be, but its a very loved and well known fragrance.
