About this deal

You and I rewritten took me by storm. I dearly love this beautiful, emotional, important, and deeply romantic story! Will and Graham are unlike any couple I’ve read before—and I just finished this book ten minutes ago and I'm still drying my eyes!!!

What a loopdidoo of good and bad this was….so LET’S separate this into the good (what worked) and the bad (ooof). Then Noah starts to see a different side of Rae Rose—she’s Amelia: kindhearted and goofy, yet lonely from years in the public eye. He can’t help but get close to her. Soon she’ll have to return to her glamorous life on tour, but until then, Noah will show Amelia all the charming small-town experiences she’s been missing, and she’ll help him open his heart to more. You can always count on a Sarah Adams rom-com to be equal parts funny, sweet, and swoony' SOPHIE SULLIVAN This book tended to do what I don't like at all in any genre. So it wasn't that this was a contemporary, that this didn't work for me. It was that it had aspects that I have found I don't personally like seeing in any book, and whether this was a fantasy, or a contemporary; I don't think I would have liked it either way.

Dunni and Obinna are very easy to root for. They are both very likeable as individuals, but they definitely shine as a couple. From the early days of their relationship to the chemistry they still clearly have as adults, there’s no doubt that they are meant to be together if they can overcome the obstacles that threaten them. Amid steamy practice dates and strictly 'educational' tutoring lessons, the lines of their friendship blur and Annie reconsiders what her 'dream guy' might look like. Maybe her love life doesn't need to be perfect - it just needs to be real. the ending was so dragged out, it was so unnecessary i thought it was all pretty average but some of this dialogue was so difficult to get through Now can we talk about that playful ending?? reenacting and quoting her fav romance book during sex (unfortunately Sarah deprived us from including full details from the actual scene — a shame I know) lmao but he’s a real one for that. Overall the ending left me satisfied and the book was so cute. Btw the spice in this is almost non existent (it’s closed door) 1-1.5 out of 5 🌶️ so you don’t go in blind expecting that but the slow burn and tension towards it was great 😋

I really liked When in Rome last year and was so excited to see who’s book was going to be next. Annie’s story is full of joys and perfect for your romantic heart! I loved so many things about this book and hopefully you will too! I think this bled into another aspect I didn’t like. I want my female main characters to be feisty and be able to stand up for themselves. But she needs to do it for her, and it needs to be driven BY HER… Why is it that this man that she's with is the first person to see who she is and the first person that she can “actually” talk to, WHEN SHE IS SO CLOSE TO HER FAMILY, I wanted her to find herself, and not meet a man as the catalyst to find herself. I'm all for woman empowerment and not being rescued. And it felt like she could only be her true self when she found a guy! And wasn’t able to be herself without him.

Definitely better than When in Rome, by a lot. From the first paragraph, I could tell this will be a good one. The story is presented through two timelines, one in the past that shows us when Dunni and Obinna first met in school and fell in love, and then one in the present that shows them getting to know each other all over again as adults. I loved the contrast of the sweet, youthful scenes of a first love in bloom versus the intense and sensual moments of two former lovers rediscovering one another. Ultimately, both timelines converge in an emotional roller coaster as we learn not only the exact details from the past surrounding the cruel and heartless way Dunni and Obinna were separated, but devastating secrets are revealed that threaten to once again tear Dunni and Obinna apart. My heart just broke for these two over and over again. For introverts like me with social anxiety, the process of dating is equivalent to waxing your bikini line. Menstrual cramps on day two of your cycle. An emergency dental procedure you weren’t expecting—and guess what: they’re fresh out of novocaine. Florist Annie Walker is determined to find someone who complements her life. But after overhearing her latest date describe her as ‘so unbelievably boring’, Annie wonders if the problem might be her. Is it too late to become flirtatious and fun like the leading ladies in her favourite romance movies? Maybe she only needs some practice . . . and Annie has the perfect tutor in mind.
