About this deal

I scoff and splash a generous amount of gin into a plastic cup, adding some ginger ale I find in the fridge in a half-assed attempt at a cocktail. this is a great story and managed to incorporate realistic characters that were nearly perfect with believable imperfections that made them more approachable. My only sadness is that we didn’t get a second epilogue, maybe 5-7 years later, after marriage, Olympics, and what home country they are living in. I LOVED reading about her personal growth and so by having the whole book in her POV, I wasn’t distracted by the back and forth internal monologue between her and Adler Beck as with most romance novels are commonly structured. I liked that the FMC was a strong lead character, rather than a paper-tiger that looked good until a strong breeze.

Jason sighs and picks up one of the labeled glass bottles sitting directly in front of me, which is in fact gin. Her single-minded focus has cost her a lot, but it's also earned her recognition as the top female college player in the US.He’s a rich playboy who has fucked half of Europe (mentioned multiple times), and is apparently the greatest soccer player ever. Even so, we were never close, due to both our six-year age gap and our polar opposite personalities. For once The heroine wasn’t some meek, self righteous virgin and actually had the sexual track record to rival the male lead’s. First flight, final fall” reminds me of “Kulti” by Mariana Zapata: The H is a famous german football player, H is training/a part of h work, h is not a part of the team and feels somewhat like an outsider and struggles with her family.

To Hallie’s credit, she tried to fill the gaping hole left by our mother’s literal departure and our father’s metaphorical one.She glances over at me, abandoning her feeble attempt to look like she’s texting, not eyeing the baseball players who have set up a makeshift bowling alley on the kitchen table. It’s good if we only see Saylors personal development, but as a romance it was too much lacking for me.

I love how the author made both of the main characters to be sexually pliant prior to meeting each other. No, you have a poster of Adler Beck on your wall,” I correct, leaning my head back against the upper cabinet so I can study the cracks in the plaster blemishing our kitchen ceiling. Being abandoned by her mother, and growing up with a absent father has taken its toll on her ability to trust others. If only any of us had any talents with a hammer or a screwdriver, as there’s an endless list of tasks our landlord never seems to get around to.Open Library is an initiative of the Internet Archive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Our FMC is the leading soccer player in the USA and so a relationship of equals with the FMC makes a lot of sense and helps the character development later in the book. I don’t have anything bad to say except that the main character took a long time with admitting they had feelings for the love interest. Beck’s POV was one of the small things I thought was missing from this book that could have made it even better.
