About this deal

James Ball (April 25, 2011). "Guantánamo Bay files: Casio wristwatch 'the sign of al-Qaida' ". The Guardian. London. Operation [ edit ] Casio F-91W, in regular timekeeping mode and using the 24-hour display option. The watch is currently set to sound the alarm and hourly chime The time or date is adjusted by pressing the lower left button three times to bring the watch to time adjustment mode. The top left button is used to cycle through seconds, hours, minutes, month, date, day and normal mode. The right button is used to adjust the flashing value displayed. Unlike any other value, the seconds can only be zeroed. Should this happen before 30 seconds, the watch will zero in at the beginning of the current minute. After 30 seconds it will start the next minute as displayed. When the adjustments are finished, the bottom left button can be pressed once to return the watch to normal mode.

You can really tell when you look at the text on the dial. The fonts are straight out of the mid-80s, and there’s a “Lithium” inscription that doesn’t appear on the F-91W.The thin case sits so close to the wrist that it almost blends in. It’s so light that it feels more like a bracelet than a watch. You could definitely forget that you have it on. Lastly, is the F-84W better than the F-91W? No. As said above, they're functionally identical. Both watches have the same quality to them. The reason to buy the F-84W is for the mid-80s styling and the fact it's slightly smaller, thinner and lighter. You get the classic Casio digital display with day and date readouts as well as the ability to switch between 12 and 24 hour modes.

We all know the Casio F-91W is one of the best watches ever made. That's not even up for debate at this point, but what if you want an alternative that's similar in size and function? Or what if you want something that's just as cool, but that little bit different? Well, dear reader, I have you covered.Even if you don’t use the alarm or stopwatch, you’ll still make use of the main display that gives you everything you need. You have the time, day, and date all right there. Casio F84W watch Both watches have the Casio module 593 and all, I mean ALL, of the functions are the same. So you get a 1/100 stopwatch (max count at 59:59.99) with split time function, single daily alarm, hourly alert and a green LED for illumination. Need I say more? There’s always that added ‘Wow!’ factor when you put on something that you know could only be found in Japan. Being a bit of a car guy myself, the appeal is the same when you spot a car meant for Japan and Japan alone being driven around in Malaysia – we’re talking about cars like the Toyota Mark X or Crown and not those reconditioned lux-minivans.
