About this deal

setting was not my fave. i've heard people say it's schitt's creek-y but there aren't enough charming characters to make that a thing. libby. her character was never fleshed out enough to be even a little interesting. she has 2 outbursts throughout the story and each time i thought they'd be break throughs in making her have something to really say. but no. she had a different perspective on her upbringing than her sister which was interesting enough but her life wasn't interesting enough to have motivations. she has babies, that's all i gathered. If you have time to squeeze in one of these gorgeous literary afternoon teas then I wouldn’t hesitate! The hardest part is choosing which one. And what, just because I don't want kids, I would supposedly punish a pregnant woman for making a different decision than me? My favorite person's a pregnant woman! And I'm obsessed with my nieces. Not every decision a woman makes is some grand indictment on other women's lives.'" You can expect live performances with a beer in hand, discussions about famous Scottish authors and their lives, interesting details about pubs with literary histories and lots more.

Tea House Theatre– A romantic little place with amazing cakes, a fireplace, books and tables on a stage. A real hidden gem.Edinburghwas the world’s very firstUNESCO City of Literature which is no surprise given the plethora of literary references to be found around the Scottish capital.

We listed all the great Independent Bookshops in Bath to help you on your way. We also highly recommend Bath for lovely cafes and excellent vintage shopping! Oxfordhonestly i can understand why many people don’t like this book bc it’s classified as a romance book but i don’t think it is? romance was like sub-plot, i felt like main topic that embroidered in it was nora’s relationships with the people in her life and trying to understand herself. i mean charlie is the love interest of this book but libby (sister of nora) was mentioned more than him. but i don’t think it makes the book worse bc every word that has been said and every decision that has been made by them was incredibly selfless, everyone is trying to give another a better life than their own and they are tangled in this beautiful and sad madness 🥹 Walk 30 minutes or take a 20- minute bus to The British Library! You probably already have this on your list as a bookish person in London but make sure you stop by, browse and grab a coffee at their cafe, The wealth of literature here is just…astounding. charlie; sigh. he is literally male version of nora and there was no option for me to not adore him too. even though his problems were different than nora’s, they practically have the same core, being ruthless and cold, valuing their jobs and fear of not being enough and wanted. Visit the hidden Second Shelf Books, one of the cutest bookshops selling rare books written by women, if you’d like to know more you can read our article all about this lovely shop. You’re also in the theatre district so if you want to finish the night with a show then go ahead, you can even explore China Town and chow down on some delicious East Asian desserts! Mom's theory was that youthful skin would make a woman more money...good underwear would make her more confident...and good books would make her happy."
