About this deal

My biggest negative is that for some reason I go noseblind to this one much faster and more often than other fragrances. But of course: I let myself be blinded a bit by comments, the direction "musty forest", "smoky fog" or "darkest night". I’m glad you did a review for these perfumes: there was so much hype about EN at some point – and now I never hear about it. But I don’t think I realized it was marketed as masculine perfume (does it mean that I’m gender-blind when it comes to perfumes?

Some people may be more sensitive to some of its facets resembling organic glue or burning plastic, but to me it's just burning wood. Without having the original, the two flankers "Sport" and "À LÈxtreme" (ENE) have become my absolute favourite fragrances. The presence of Orris provides a powdery characteristic, finishing off with sandalwood and patchouli. Haven't smelled sycomore, but I can safely say this is high quality and you get a lot more than you pay for, I doubt that is the case for any chanel exclusiff. Interesting and unique scent with unfortunate longevity of 1-2 hours after which it is not even a skin scent - it's gone. The dry-down is very floral, almost very feminine, it brought to mind old lady's perfume mixed with the scent of sweat. And then there are those mainly intended for "older people", which for me, even as a late forty-year-old, is an exclusion criterion in the vast majority of cases. My rewiew: Can´t stop sniffing my arm when I wear it :D It´s an absolute TOP 1of3 favorite frag ever with great longevity ~12 hours on my skin, on clothes and hair it´s atleast 20h and with quite strong but smooth sillage.

These first 5-10 minutes are a bit too much for me personally, but once it settles it is really beautiful. Longevity isn’t an important criterion for me, as I keep a bottle in my office at work and can reapply as needed. In all honesty, I have yet to detect any other notes or accords in this fragrance outside of the main accord (although I usually apply my fragrances sparingly because they are more for my own enjoyment than anything else, so perhaps if I apply more liberally I would be able to detect the other notes more readily). The first, because what use is a fragrance people hate you wearing, even when wearing it for yourself?

As of now, I can say with confidence that this is my favorite fragrance out of all of the others I’ve owned so far. Given that we've been locked down due to the pandemic for the last year or so (and I have been teleworking since), I'm curious to wear it in those opposite aforementioned scenarios. It's VERY nice but somewhat overwhelms or drowns out the vetiver, which is the note that I love so much in the original. I can see no occasion where this would get you complements and I certainly don’t like it myself which is the most important thing, anyway.
