About this deal

I love their family, Bennetts will always have a part of my heart. Joe, Gordo, Chris, Tanner, Rico too, but they are basically Bennetts now. I can't wait to read the rest of the series to experience more moments like that with them.

Ox was sixteen when the energetic Bennett family moved in next door, harbouring a secret that would change him forever. For the family are shape-shifters, who can transform into wolves at will. Drawn to their magic, loyalty and enduring friendships, Ox feels a gulf between this extraordinary new world and the quiet life he’s known. He also finds an ally in Joe, the youngest Bennett boy. Joe is charming and handsome, but haunted by scars he cannot heal. Her eyes softened. I could see the lines around her eyes. The tired set of her jaw. “You always do. But that’s—” She stopped. Took a breath. “He left?” she asked, and she sounded so small. There’s a lot you don’t … know. About me. Things were … hard. For a while. Sometimes, they still are. But Ox, he just … I have nightmares. About bad men. About monsters. And he makes them go away.” I tried to swallow past the lump in my throat. Y VAMOS A VER. Wolfsong is the beginning of the Green Creek Series, the beloved fantasy romance sensation by New York Times bestselling author TJ Klune, about love, loyalty, betrayal, and family. Also: Here’s the link to the essay review on my blog. (If you actually want to torture yourself and read the extended version. *lol*) When he's 16 he notices the house down the lane, which has been empty for a while,is now occupied by a family...

I originally read this book in preparation for a giveaway over on the blog; but rest assured, said giveaway had NOTHING to do with me giving this bad boy 5 big ones. They way they all interact and play off each other is alternately heart wrenching, endearing, and hilarious.joe and ox dynamics literally were - “i’ll do anything to protect you” - and they did dumb shit to do just that and that’s exactly why i love them. bc they’d do anything to save each other, even at their own detriment. the “not yet” 🥺 iykyk. it was what kept both of them going through their darkest days. and i loved that.

This was a long book, but it didn’t feel long. It was one of those audios that made me want to put down whatever book I was reading so I could focus on listening to it. There were lots of moments I smiled, some moments of laughter, tears, and even frustration. You will get frustrated a time or two, but it’s okay. It’s all okay at the end. The angst was so worth it.You’ll meet someone,” she said, suddenly fierce. “You’ll see. A girl or a boy and they’ll worship the ground you walk on because you deserve to be treasured. And I’ll be there to say I told you so because you’ve earned it. If anyone in this world has earned it, it’s you.” this book follows Ox Matheson as he navigates life and growing up in a small town. at the beginning of the novel we see his father leave and a new family move in "down the lane" which really starts the beginning of Ox's life.
