We are delighted to welcome Patrisse Khan-Cullors to Nottingham to discuss her illuminating memoir, 'When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir'. She will be in conversation with members from Black Lives Matter UK.Join us for this series of free events. Drop inWe will be having a Community Day event running in the Cafe Bar, this will give you a chance to pop in on your lunch break (or book the day off work!) to get a signed copy of Patrisse's new book and take part in an interactive Black art event. This is a drop in event, you don't have to book. As part of an artists residency at Nottingham Contemporary Gallery artist Jacob V Joyce will provide a free interactive black history art workshop for those attending the event. The workshops would allow participants use projections of archival black power struggles from the UK and US and various inks to collectively trace images onto a fabric canvas.7-9pmBOOK TOUR TALK & PANEL Free. Booking required.In the evening, we will be hosting a talk by Patrisse about their book along with a great panel of Black Lives Matter activists from UK groups.
