C2 published by EMI / Sony / ATV. Mixed [...] for 365 Artists. Recorded at Human Feel Studios, Los Angeles, California. I hate this album. Yet, people seem to like it. So, I listened to it. The pressing is not audiophile, although I guess it's ok for your more casual listening. I can hear low level noise during the quiet parts. Unfortunately, side 1 is 26 minutes long and side 2 is 24 minutes long. That means that the songs have to be recorded at lower-than-normal levels, which, allows for more surface noise to be heard. I don't see what the confusion is aside from the two releases sharing a barcode but there are two seperate listings on discogs. This IS 3LP, 2LP for Born To Die and 1LP for Paradise. Variant 1 has audio artifacts. honestly, its audible, but for the casual listener, it is just fine. This is a good pressing. I bought a copy used and while it was very dirty at first, deep cleaning it helped massively. It was probably dirty out of the factory from those darn paper sleeves, which I immediately replaced with plastic ones after cleaning and you should too. It obviously falls short of being a sonic marvel, but the dynamics are more expansive, and the tone richer than the streamed version... At least on my system.
