About this deal

Toughpower SFX series is fully compatible with Intel ATX 3.0 Specifications which supports up to 200% power excursion, reaches 70% low load efficiency and complies with required power supply timing standards. However, the good news is that most of Quiet PC’s PSUs implement a system known as Active PFC which involves some clever electronics. This means that their power factor (PF) can be as high as 0.94 or 94% (at full load), while harmful harmonic frequencies are reduced to well below legal requirements. So by using our products, you can be happy in the knowledge that you are doing your bit to save the planet! The most powerful SFX power supply in the market, perfect for the most power-dense small-form-factor PCs. 80 PLUS PLATINUM CERTIFIED Zero RPM Fan Mode: The fan stays off until it’s needed, for silent operation at low and medium loads.

Top-end build quality with low ripple noise. All ripples are lower than 30 mV on +12V, +5V or +3.3V from 0% to 100% load to ensure a stable operation and keep your performance-critical components to function reliably for longer.

FAQ

Technically there is little, if anything we can fault. Load Regulation is first class, and the unit meets Platinum efficiency levels without a hiccup. The unit design produces tight control over AC ripple mV and we recorded stellar results, even under full load conditions.

This Phanteks SFX PSU is 80 Plus Platinum certified, achieving 92% efficiency at 50% system load. Not only is this power supply efficient, the Revolt SFX is equipped with a silent zero RPM mode. This means when the PSU is below 30% system load the high quality 92mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan is inactive, enabling ultimate silence. Phanteks Revolt SFX 750W 80 Plus Platinum PSU Specifications: PSU Dimensions (L x W x H) isn't SFX, it's SFX-L. None of the other SFX and SFX-L makers stoop to this level of bullshit marketing, TT. No other company does this "well technically it's all officially SFX" because they understand that the extra 25mm makes or breaks SFF builds.Yep, this is pretty terrible marketing wise. Looks like a good PSU (though of course that can't be judged from specs alone), but being clear about its form factor is a pretty basic requirement. Then again, this is Thermaltake. Their slogan might as well be "There is always something wrong with our products". We like the box artwork for this power supply, all the key points are listed along the bottom at the front of the box, along with a quality high resolution image in the middle. Powerful single +12V rail can properly deliver the power you need for the best compatibility. The use of LLC and DC to DC circuit design provides very stable operation and enhanced voltage regulation. We tested this power supply and it was not only able to deliver a continuous 750W, but it almost delivered 790W before it shut off safely. This is very reassuring to see and we recorded a long run at 770W load without any problems or potential shut down issues occurring. It is not usually practical to reach unity, i.e. Power Factor 1, and it seems that most electricity supply companies accept consumers having a Power Factor as low as 0.94 (94%) without imposing a surcharge. Unfortunately most of the cheap (and not so cheerful) PSUs tend to have a Passive PF as low as 0.75 or 75% which in a large office can lead to a PF surcharge.

The fans audible noise is nearly silence at 100% operation. This creates the perfect balance between silence and superior cooling. Furthermore, with the Smart Zero Fan, the fan will not spin until the load exceeds 30% of the power supply, minimizing the fan noise. If you are interested in being “green” and saving the planet, you might like to read a short explanation of how our power supplies can save energy using Active PFC (Power Factor Correction), not to be confused with Power Conversion Efficiency which is also very good in most of our PSUs. “Power Factor” is a measure of how efficiently electrical power is consumed. Ideally, Power Factor would be 1 (or 100%) and known as unity. Corsair are using Great Wall as the partner for this particular power supply design. The layout, construction and overall design is very similar to the SF600 model in the range which we had a look at before. All of the electrolytic capacitors inside are Japanese made, which is good to see – especially as Corsair claim this in their literature. The primary bulk capacitor is made by Nippon Chemi Con rated for 470uF, 420C and 105C.Electrolytics: 1x Nippon Chemi-Con (4-10,000 @ 105°C, KY), 2x Rubycon (3-6,000 @ 105°C, YXG) Polymers: Nippon Chemi-Con (G61B, G8, G84R, G84G, G85F), 6x Nichicon (LG)
