Sexy Lamp - The Party Somewhere Else Festival 2019 - Nottingham Playhouse - Nottingham

Part of The Party Somewhere Else Festival 2019"And so I figured if McDonald's can call itself a restaurant, I can call myself an actor".Ever since Katie was cast as the lead in her primary school Christmas show "Santa's Snow Mobile" she believed there was a place for her in show business. Since then named, speaking and fully clothed roles have been hard to come by…Sexy Lamp brilliantly combines comedy, original songs and storytelling to shed a bright light on how ridiculous the industry can be and why Katie is refusing to stay in the dark any longer. From the writer and performer of Bicycles and Fish, winner of Show of the Week at VAULT Festival 2018.Praise for Sexy Lamp:“Deceptively light, throughly entertaining and quietly punchy.” Lyn Gardner“Genius” VoiceMag UK“Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant” Within Her Words“She really is one to watch.” Ought to be ClownsBUY TICKETS Tickets go on sale on Nottingham Playhouse's website of April 5th for Playhouse members and April 12th for general sale.THE PARTY SOMEWHERE ELSE TICKET FUNDWe've extended our Outreach work to ensure as many people as possible are able to access our events. We've put some money aside to create a fund for people who would like to attend our events but cannot afford a ticket. If you would like to attend one of our events but cannot afford a ticket, email thepartysomewhereelse@gmail.com, or call/text 07375665140 with your ticket request (max 2 tickets per request) and we'll book and pay for tickets for you and arrange for you to collect them. We'll keep doing this as long as there is money available. We've put some money in the pot, and you can too - if you'd like to contribute and cover the cost of an extra ticket (or tickets!) for someone else, you can make a one-off donation or sign up to contribute monthly. You'll enable us to offer more free tickets to people who might not otherwise be able to attend. In other words, with your help, more people can come to the party. And we will love you forever for it, we promise. You can donate money to the ticket fund via a Paypal transfer to thepartysomewhereelse@gmail.com or via Patreon.com/thepartysomewhereelse
