Overall, this is a promising start to a series I have long meant to read and I am sure I will not stop at the first letter of the alphabet. I was happy and a little surprised at how much I enjoyed rereading 'A is for Alibi' after so many years. She is credited with the story upon which the screenplay for the made for TV movie Svengali (1983) was based. Maybe you’ve heard this one before,"she went on, "but I didn’t kill Laurence and I want you to find out who did. F is for Fugitive was the first, entering at number 10 on the paperback list; by 1995 "L" is for Lawless entered the best seller list at number one followed by ten more in the series.
