About this deal

The dude Millie shot is not Douglas! The real Douglas is a schlubby goober and not the handsome-ish man Millie killed. Oh dear. cecelia is standing behind me, her pale blue eyes boring into me, wearing a white frilly dress that makes her look like a little doll. and by doll, i’m of course talking about that creepy talking doll in the twilight zone that murders people. Millie makes frequent comments about how Andrew couldn’t want to be with Nina because he wants more kids and she’s having trouble conceiving. It was mentioned about 3 times and it kind of seemed like a triggering statement to keep making if the reader has problems conceiving. This is supposed to be the protagonist but it’s really a horrible thing to say and I couldn’t really forgive the statement after the third time. Every day I clean the Winchesters’ beautiful house top to bottom. I collect their daughter from school. And I cook a delicious meal for the whole family before heading up to eat alone in my tiny room on the top floor.

Absolutely gripping … I didn’t stop reading until I literally could no longer keep my eyes open no matter how hard I tried. (No lie, I ended up falling asleep and dropping my Kindle onto my face )… Didn’t stop till I’d finished… Fantastic! ” NetGalley reviewer, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I gave the ending 5/5 because it's women's history month and that's all I can say without spoiling it I enjoyed sharing this book with a sweet group of friends in a buddy read. What was the last book you read with a friend? How often do you read books from Kindle Unlimited? Welcome to the family," Nina Winchester says as I shake her elegant, manicured hand. I smile politely, gazing around the marble hallway. Working here is my last chance to start fresh. I can pretend to be whoever I like. But I'll soon learn that the Winchesters' secrets are far more dangerous than my own . . .

Millie has a great deal of sympathy for abused women and will do anything to ensure they escape from harmful situations and by using any means necessary. Unfortunately, she often goes too far, further complicating the situation. She felt greater entitlement this time, and I found her more annoying. I don’t do well with peer pressure and with all the hype around the book…well I gave in. This book 100% lives up to its well-deserved hype. Once I started this one I could not put it down. This was my first Freida book and I’ve now read 3 others. I can say she is an immediate buy author for me. I immediately read the next book as well. I just had to continue Millie’s story. People often describe books as “unputdownable” and I rarely use this term as my ADD means I can easily drop an activity and go and do other things. However, The Housemaid is one of those books where I genuinely wanted to read as much of it as possible in one sitting each time I could. And again, I usually struggle to read when anything else is going on but it’s easy writing and my desire to know what was coming next had me engrossed. The Housmaid characters – 4.25/5 With the heavy emphasis placed by the author on the psychological aspect of this novel, you might assume there would be little room left to make a thriller out of it. However, Freida McFadden manages to challenge expectations, making The Housemaid one of the more agitated and nail-biting thrillers I’ve had the pleasure of reading recently.Additional television credits for Sonnenshine, who is also a WGA and Independent Spirit Award nominee, include The Vampire Diaries and Outcast. She’s best known to date on the feature side for penning the horror-drama The Keeping Hours, produced by Blumhouse and directed by Karen Moncrieff, which won the Audience Award upon its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
