The postage cost looks excessive but I bought 8 of the items and the seller was great when I asked about the postage costs, the seller responded very quickly and adjusted and refunded some of postage back to me. The Epic Colour 'n' Style Makeover Pack includes 25+ pieces including a Styling Chair that transforms into a Doll Display Stand! Sparkle just means the same cheap dress with glitter on it, and the evening version has higher quality, more complicated clothing items and fancier face paint.
This is its own separate issue that has a lot more to it than what I say here, but if you know about MGA's quality history and Barbie clone stuff then you probably know what I mean). The dolls are fully articulated at the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and neck which is great for creating different poses and acting out scenes.Mika doesn't have jointed ankles (few of my dolls do), but she does have pretty feet, with individual little toes and a slightly elevated heel. In this case I can see why; blind bag "purchases" were a cute gimmick, but there was a lot of paper waste and the dolls' faces are not pretty.
That said, I didn't see any of these stereotypes suggested in the information that came with any of the dolls I bought. What a fail, no pun intended – the “basic” versions of these dolls shouldn’t even exist, they just wanted to make people want to purchase the same thing twice because they’re hoping to get the better one. dolls are my thing, so I notice a lot about the themes the dolls are given and their diversity (or lack thereof) and I gotta say, there are very few dolls that get it "right".

I think a lot of the issues could've been fixed if this doll line had gotten a bit more time, but like Mermaid High, the stiff competition from MGA probably made it hard for this brand to really be competitive, especially with the criticism from parents putting Moose Toys in a difficult position. It isn’t really magic as such (I think we were expecting some kind of ‘wipe off to reveal’ type trick) but none the less Erin was super impressed with the mask and found it really clever! It’s a shame that the dolls didn’t last, because I loved this concept as soon as I heard of it several years ago, and would have liked to see at least a second line of them. First, begin the head-to-toe transformation with a surprise fashion reveal - will you find a Rare or Ultra-Rare outfit with special material? You can then use the included Hair Dye Wands to create dreamy pink and blue colored waves in her hair, before creating a magical Mermaid Braid with the exclusive Braiding Tool.The evening versions are so much better that it kind of pisses me off – that’s the quality I want from all of them. Erin did need some assistance with some of the hairstyles (as it wasn’t always immediately obvious where to clip things) but really enjoyed brushing and styling their hair and lifting off the mask to reveal. Unlike the other dolls her hair REFUSED to sit down once I brushed it out, it wanted to stick out in every direction and the instructions she came with are even more vuage and useless than Posh's. Erin first had to untwist and remove all the accessories and then brush each section individually starting at the ends and working the way up. it's funny that boil washing the hair got it to look nice, because I'd heard that (presumably room-temperature) water reactivated the styling product.
Pull out all the accessories stuck in her hair, including her shoes and jewellery and then brush it out until the fail is gone. I never have been a fan of the song "Walk Like an Egyptian," but I can't help thinking about it when I pose Mika like this! I found an easier method which is to ram the scissors into the edge and sorta use them as a lever to pry the overly glued backing card off but it's still a lot of work and effort and honestly way overkill. I haven't really talked much about Alyssa's size so far, since were are so many other fun things to chat about, but it's important to note that she's quite small in comparison to other popular play dolls. I pulled multiple small segments up and tied them with the elastic bands these dolls all came with, tucked the front under the second and fiddled with it all till I came up with something that kinda resembled her box art.
