About this deal

Intermediate and advanced players who like to control their shots with spin and feel will like the Radical MP. It doesn’t sacrifice too much power either. Head Speed– The Speed tennis racquet has a slightly larger, more forgiving frame. Head offers versions for most skill levels.

In this sense, the Head Graphene 360 Racial MP reminded me of the Babolat Pure Drive, as I was hitting with a great flight path and a ton of topspin. The spin and power levels were spot on so long as you weren’t swinging too aggressively, and I found the Graphene 360 Radical MP to be more comfortable than previous versions. Whilst Sue agreed, “I love the colour. It would take a bit of time getting used to.. having something so bright in my hand, but at least you can see it hitting the ball.” In addition, all data is securely transmitted using SSL encoding and we do not save bank or credit card information. Wilson Blade– The Blade is a bit more comfortable than the Radical and will provide a bit better control. There are versions for most skill levels as well.

The newest version of the Head Radical Pro is one of the all-around best tennis racquets for advanced players on the market. It has enough power from the baseline, while still being built more for control.

The Radical MP is a great tennis racquet for intermediate or advanced players looking for something a bit easier to handle. The racquet is easy to swing and maneuver for its weight as well. At the net, the handling was great. While it doesn’t have quite the feel or stability of a racquet like the Head Prestige, it is still solid on volleys.

Groundstrokes

It’s also not a string that produces a huge amount of spin, so it would be a good test of the Radical’s spin potential. Having debuted in 1993, HEAD's Radical series has consistently been chosen by the world's best players. Originally developed specifically for Andre Agassi, the Head Radical series was established as one of the finest in tennis history thanks to Agassi's success in the mid-1990s and early 2000s, winning an Olympic Gold Medal and achieving a Career Grand Slam. Following Agassi's success, the legacy of Head Radical has been continued by Grand-Slam winners such as Amelie Mauresmo, Sloane Stephens and Andy Murray, making it the choice of the world's most versatile players. New features into this Radical MP include the implementation of Graphene 360 PLUS w/ Spiral Fibers into the frame. The combination of Head's signature Graphene 360 technology for optimized energy transfer and the innovative spiral fibers for enhanced flex & a clean impact feel make this racquet a must-own. While views varied slightly on serves, our playtesters thought the Head Radical MP 2021 offered the qualities needed to close out service games successfully. Chris had no issues settling into a nice, consistent serve. He said, "I was getting enough power on my serves with the Radical MP 2021 that I never felt like I had to work too hard. I'm not the biggest server, but my first serves had the pace needed to draw errors from the returner. I could even sneak in some aces with my slice serves wide on the deuce side. I was happy with the spin I was getting on my second serves, and I found I could keep the pace up and still maintain consistency."

Versatility: The Radical MP is marketed as the all-court player’s racquet in the Head lineup. It works well for a variety of playing styles, including power baseliner, counter-punching, and serve and volley. Austin then moved up to the net, “I started off with a few volleys going long but once I worked out my rhythm I was finding it really easy to get my spots, getting nice depth on my volleys and closing it out really well.” All new for 2021, Head introduces the Radical MP with Graphene 360+ technology! This eye-catching Radical MP was developed with the versatile all-court player in mind, offering the perfect combination of power, control, and spin for a broad range of players The open string pattern of the Radical MP allows for great spin potential for an advanced racquet as well. This racquet won’t have as much power as some other advanced tennis racquets, but it will offer a bit better control and feel. The Radical Pro is Great on Groundstrokes & Serves

Kristen - "I haven't spent much time with previous Radicals, but I have recently tested the updated Head Extreme MP. I found this Radical MP to be more controlled and comfortable than the Extreme MP while offering similar access to easy topspin and depth. Another comparable racquet that comes to mind would be the Babolat Pure Strike 16x19." Head Prestige– The Prestige is a slightly more control-oriented racquet than the Radical. Advanced players will find better touch and feel with less power. Weight: The Head Radical MP weighs approximately 11 ounces (without strings). In my experience, this is a medium weight for a tennis racquet, providing enough weight to generate power while still being easy to maneuver. I like that the racquet kept my swing options open and didn't force me into a particular style of play.”
