I’d rather have two of them either side of me and enough room to park my big bottom without having to squeeze! Three years down the line, the mifold team came up with another revolutionary product – hifold, the Fit-and-Fold Booster Seat. One of my kids biggest complaints when sitting in a car without any kind of booster is that the belt cuts into their shoulder.

We planned to hire a car for road trips, use taxis for short trips, and perhaps hire a driver to get between towns (which isn’t much more in cost to 4x bus tickets). We have been trying a MiFold out over the past week and for a quick trip home from ballet when I asked Daddy to pick her up on his way home but the seat wasn’t in her car it was perfect. We are receiving a very enthusiastic response from safety experts and advocates, who truly care about the safety of children in cars. mifold Comfort features the super comfortable, extra padded “Compact Comfort” seat cushion, anti-slip pads and an easy to fit shoulder guide. It’s a funny one because you expect a booster seat to do just that and boost them but this one is rather flat and doesn’t make them high up at all.Adjusting the seatbelt positioner is also tricky, and our little testers had significant trouble buckling the seatbelt because the mifold bottom gets in the way of the buckle. The red bits on the side have three different positions to fit children of different sizes and the shoulder strap clip is easily adjusted into place to fit the height of your child.

To use the Mifold, simply unfold it, squeeze the red tabs on the underside to extend the belt guides, and position the booster to rest securely in your car’s seat bight (where the horizontal and vertical parts of your car’s seat come together). The Hifold is suitable for children aged 4 to 12 or weighing between 15 to 45kg (or up to 150cm), which makes it more versatile than many other travel boosters out there. We took the Hifold with us to Dubai and it was so good to know Isla had that extra protection on the huge 8 lane motorways in the city. I always thoroughly test products so I can share honest reviews and would never recommend anything I didn't like. Mifold booster claims to bring the seatbelt down to the child’s level instead of a traditional booster bringing the child up to the seatbelt level.I have often had to lend our seats to family or friends when loaning our kids out for the day, and the process of transporting said car seats can be an exhausting and tedious process. The Mifold Original booster seat is 10 times smaller than your regular booster, it’s easy to use, and it makes traveling a breeze, but while the Mifold does make travel easier, it isn’t for everyone.
