About this deal

Depending on the formula, setting powders can create a more matte finish ( Set Powder) or radiant finish ( Studio Finish Face Powder). You can apply it after your foundation (that’s what I usually do) or on bare moisturised skin for a smooth finish.

The company Make-up Art Cosmetics was established in Toronto, Canada, as an answer to the lack of quality makeup on the market. Just wanted to ask if any of you know if MAC's Prep + Prime Translucent Finishing Powder is still being sold in its loose form anywhere?Because its been my absolute “go to” baking/setting powder when doing my make-up for a night out currently…(safe to say i’m obsessing over it right now) and i wanted to let you guys know what i think it and my honest opinion as it’s not really talked about in blog posts or on youtube right now and i personally feel like it needs to be! Available in one universally flattering shade that appears invisible when applied, the finely-milled, virtually weightless formula contains oil-absorbing Silica and special optic Mica to combat shine and create a multi-dimensional blurring effect to smooth the look of imperfections. If you disagree with the options offered by Facebook, you can create your user account without Facebook. Mac Prep+Prime Transparent Loose Finishing Powder is a very sheer, colourless, invisible setting powder.

Think of setting powder as the final step in ensuring your makeup is set smudge- and transfer-proof so it looks better for longer. I still keep the sticker, because I’m afraid that once removed the powder will fly everywhere and it will become messy and impossible to take along. I mentioned my favourite full coverage combo in this post which featured Mac’s Studio Fix Powder Foundation and today I will talk about another Mac product, this time one that I use to achieve a more natural looking base. The container itself is quite cute looking, i like how you can see the powder through the transparent plastic and how the lid is black giving it a nice classy, basic look.Becoming a member gains you access to incredible offers on cosmetics, fragrances, hair care products, and more. In the picture above i used my lumee case which does kinda have a flash effect and as you can see it hasn’t happened to me purely because i haven’t over baked my face.

Overall I do like this powder but it is definitely not the best powder I have ever tried and I would only recommend this for normal to dry skintypes as although it claims to control oil I really didn’t find it did so on my skin which really isn’t that oily at all. You receive 9 grams within the container which is a bit more product then what you would get if you got the pressed powder version. I left the powder to bake my face for 5-10 minutes and then wiped the excess powder off with a fluffy brush until it looked blended.Depending on the look I am going for I will use a light weight one for everyday use or a much heavier one when I want to achieve a high coverage. The powder is suitable for all skin shades and types, even including sensitive skin, isn’t that great. However some things that i don’t like and that you need to be aware of is that if you over bake and add too much of the product onto your highlighted areas when you take a photograph with flash it can leave a white flashback cast quite strongly. Wear over bare, moisturised skin for a velvet-smooth base or layer over makeup to enhance longevity and create a flawless, matte finish.
