About this deal

Browne essentially converts key scenes from the movie into pictures and provides a streamline summary of the film. But his collaborator and subsequently co-director and producer of the film, not only did so but it is more than likely a relation of his, Richard Merrion Cooper who wrote the text of this book to accompany Anthony Browne's superb illustrations.

When a group of people from Hollywood looking to make a great movie in a dangerous place arrive to Skull Island and disturb his peacefulness, Kong will react. The mighty beast falls for a beautiful girl, Ann Darrow, and desperate to have her he finds himself lured into captivity. The violent fight between the two titans ends when Kong pries open the dinosaur's jaw until it breaks. Every picture features the image of ape hidden with in the details, such as a hamburger or wood grain. This is maybe the 10th time I’ve reread this book, I used to read it over and over again when I was younger and I remembered that I still had it the other day and decided to read it again.

King Kong, coloso animal que habita en una isla lejana, es el protagonista de esta historia de aventuras, batallas entre las m s asombrosas criaturas, rescates arriesgados, momentos emocionantes y rom nticos. Discover the joy of reading with us, your trusted source for affordable books that do not compromise on quality. It’s considered a Graphic Novel but is short enough that it could also hold a child's attention span. Hair-raising adventures providing endless thrills for the reader follow (just as in the film) until that now famous climax on that iconic building in New York .

The story follows the movie completely, showing the trip to Skull Island, the emergence and capture of the great Kong and then the tragedy on top of the Empire State Building. Este libro plantea la barbarie ejercida por el hombre civilizado que act a con mayor brutalidad que la "bestia" a la que combate.

Kong takes Ann up to his mountain lair, where a giant snake emerges from a bubbling swamp and tries to strangle Kong, who kills it as well. Denham hurls a gas bomb, knocking Kong out, whereupon he exults in the opportunity to take the giant back to New York: "He's always been King of his world. I think it portrays a few sad and timeless truths: that humans break the spirits of strong and powerful creatures; greed is dangerous; we resort to killing as a way to solve problems. This makes a lovely gift and a good addition to any child’s bookshelf, which will appeal to a wide age range.A landing party, including the filmmaker and his leading lady, goes ashore and encounters the natives, who are about to hand over a girl to Kong as a ritual sacrifice. This is a picture book for older children, which will be sure to engage the most reluctant reader and will appeal to children of approx 7+, although it is also ideal to read aloud. In reality, he is gentle and caring and suffers from fear, anxiety, pain and loss (and many other emotions), just like we do.
