One of only 285 bottles, this Single Malt from Jura was allowed to mature for 12 years in a single refill hogshead cask. Palate: Oily and moreish with spices - cinnamon and cloves - with an underlying salted caramel depth. It is not my favourite Jura; and I find it needed a considerable quantity of both ice and water for me to find it drinkable with any pleasure.This crafty combo of casks imparts a delightful layering of vanilla, caramel, tropical fruit, and warming, prickly spice – a splendid dram for sipping at the end of a long day. Just 8 miles long, Jura's single track road stretches from the island's ferry port in the West, right up to the Northeast of our island. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Additionally, regional characteristics such as climate, water source, and local traditions contribute to a diverse range of flavor profiles for single malt enthusiasts to explore. As though someone has taken the flavour concentrate of a Highland whisky and added it to some colouring and a very immature light yellow whisky.
