Whilst we will always endeavour to supply the vintage listed for a product, there will always be instances where we will have moved on to a more recent vintage before we get a chance to update the description. Aged in two different barrels: The wine is aged in two different types of barrels - traditional wine barrels and then in rum barrels.The full, generous flavours of classic Barossa Shiraz are enhanced by careful use of aged Scotch whisky barrels for finishing.

On the palate, ripe plum with attractive dark fruits complemented by clove and spice and charry oak notes. Rich yet elegant Australian Shiraz which has been enhanced by a unique barrel ageing process - aged in a wine barrel and a scotch whisky barrel for a smoother and richer finish. Rather than bombard you with ads or erect a paywall, I simply ask for a donation to keep this site running. It gives the drinkers what they want – a connection with Scotch whisky (with portions matured in old whisky barrels) and a thick, blocky oak and fruit richness. Yet the commercial appeal is absolutely undeniable – lots and lots of drinkers are going to love the volume of sweet fruit and oak.
