Following his now well-established tradition, in Haunted Liverpool 8, local paranormal investigator and broadcaster, Tom Slemen, has yet again produced a wealth of supernatural stories with a Liverpool connection. Since reading that very first book over ten years ago I have fallen in love with all of Tom's books and since it's October I thought I would share my reasons why with you all.

I won’t say much more because I might spoil the story but i guarantee it’ll linger in your mind for a while. Go grab a cuppa tea and have a read of one of Tom's stories like A High-Class Vampiress, The Coffin, The Clown, or Bloody Mary.My sister has a copy of this book and she loved the long chapter detailing many Liverpool superstitions and omens governing marriage, birth and death.

I've never heard of this author but he sounds like someone who's content I would love to read if he's all about the paranormal. This is a used book - there is no escaping the fact it has been read by someone else and it will show signs of wear and previous use.

The pages of this book are crammed with crazy characters - some sad, some mad, and some downright bad - but all with a supernatural connection. Richard Felix went on a ghost tour around Britain – one of the books that were produced is "The haunted tour of Britain-Merseyside" and I believe there are books by him for other areas. In volume three of Tom Slemen's legendary Haunted Liverpool series, you will read about the spine-chilling Marriage Made in Hell, the lecherous Satanist from beyond the grave - Richard Tilly, the Vengeful Grave of Allerton Cemetery, and the cursed Green Eye of the Mersey among the 49 supernatural tales contained within this fabulous book. Some of the technologies we use are necessary for critical functions like security and site integrity, account authentication, security and privacy preferences, internal site usage and maintenance data, and to make the site work correctly for browsing and transactions.

The tremendous response from the public is confirmation of a widespread fascination with the paranormal. None of the family thought to investigate any possible causes for the spectre, but Tom took it upon himself to try to uncover the mystery behind the spirit maid so he went to the local library and discovered that their home was actually built on the same spot where an orphanage once stood - to some this could mean that the ghosts were associated with the former orphanage. I think these adaptations came to bulk out the stories so that they were more story/thriller-esque, but I much prefer reading the story without any artist license.I've not heard of this author but I do have a couple of friends who would love this kind of book (it's not really my genre) so I'll be sending them the link to your post! As I felt some of the newer books the stories became very long winded, for example they included what people thought when entering a room etc. In this amazing book you will read of the mysterious vampiress who stalked Anfield Cemetery during World War Two, the terrifying entity known as the Lockdown Dream Demon, as well as the eerie but sad tale of the Girl with the Cobwebbed Face, and you shall be enthralled with a series of weird tales that revolve around the Tarot. He says that he learned from his mother that she had witnessed a ghostly apparition of a Victorian maid carrying a large serving plate along with the eerie sound of children laughing, and he was immediately hooked. From the ghostly harpist in an Everton attic whose haunting tunes could predict the future, to the flying nun who foiled a burglary in Mount Vernon Street by terrifying the would-be villains, Tom's stories are endlessly entertaining with their best-selling mix of mystery, history, the strange and the supernatural.
