I think the films are just so much bigger particularly for this age range and, I would guess, they may actually have their licence from WB somehow along with the DC superheroes.To be honest, I have no idea what any additional costs might be, but if it only a small increase, I think Hagrid is a much better choice for the calendar, as he played a key role in many parts of Harry’s journey to Hogwarts. The best one for me would have to be the wall to get to Diagon Alley, and the chimney right at the start.

One difference is that 2021 didn’t really have a strong focus on Christmas, with only two models linked to this. While I did enjoy some of the builds, and the random Chocolate Frog Cards, I don’t think it compares to previous Harry Potter Advent Calendars, which had a cohesive scene such as last year’s Yule Ball, or even micro models which were a lot of fun. The 2021 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar will be released on 1 September 2021 and will be available from LEGO. On the other side of the counter is a small platform… suitable for a short minifigure to be placed there – maybe a clue on what we’ll get in Day 11?
