Our Victoriana single malt pays homage to our distilling craft which dates back decades, as a modern interpretation of a classic Victorian style Campbeltown single malt.Matured in a combination of refill bourbon barrels and refill American oak hogsheads before being married for a six-month finish in first fill oloroso sherry casks, creating a smooth and aromatic single malt whisky. This single malt is matured in first fill bourbon casks with a 12 month finish in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. From Campbeltown's Glen Scotia comes Campbeltown Harbour, a little nod to the maritime nature of the whisky. Glen Scotia is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in the historic whisky-producing region of Campbeltown, located on the Kintyre Peninsula. After this initial tasting, you can experiment by adding a few drops of room-temperature water to see how it transforms and opens the flavours. This small town on the Kintyre peninsula on the west coast was once home to over thirty distilleries and with a distillery on every corner, it was known as "the Victorian Whiskey Capital of the World".To mark this first release, we have selected a subtly coastal, floral and delicate unpeated twelve-year-old single malt whisky, and finished it in Palo Cortado sherry casks - a rare choice almost as special as mermaids. It has also spent some finishing time in sherry casks, giving the whisky body and spice, while the distillery’s proximity to the coast has also given the whisky a salty quality.

A top quality 'integrity' (age statement, non chill filtered, natural colour and 46+% abv) bottling. Alongside Springbank and Glengyle, it is one of only three remaining distilleries in Campbeltown and draws its water from the nearby Crosshill Loch. Glen Scotia offers a variety of expressions, both peated and unpeated single malts, including core range releases, limited editions and unique single casks. Our distillery has stood the tests of time where so many others came and went, and today we stand proudly among the last of the many in Campbeltown.
