All I’ll say next is that the setup from this book leaves you to dive into wherever you want (pretty much) in the wider Horus Heresy series. Where Horus Rising, and Flase Gods had relatively dynamic plotlines, I felt Galaxy in Flames really just had a first act of exposition and a second act of lengthy battle. This was the weakest written of the twelve or so Warhammer books I have now read, but damn the story was intense.
