About this deal

My skin has reacted positively to Drunk Elephant’s products, especially the Protini Polypeptide Cream, which is my all time favorite moisturizer. Anyone with rosacea or sensitive skin could be more prone to an allergic reaction or irritation on the skin from this crap. On balance, the point is this: in contrast to real plant oils, wax esters were designed by Mother Nature to stay on the surface and form a protective, moisturizing barrier and jojoba oil being a wax ester is uniquely excellent at doing that. An extremely common multitasker ingredient that gives your skin a nice soft feel (emollient) and gives body to creams and lotions. Even though it was pretty expensive, I love the way it covers without looking chalky and provides excellent protection.

It is often mixed with more water-soluble emulsifiers (such as Steareth-20) to create stable emulsion systems. I'm not dry or red, despite the windchill, and there haven't been any of those new-product breakouts. A clear, light yellow liquid that is used to coat pigments (such as inorganic sunscreen agents or colorants) in cosmetic products. Same with the actual face oil which, instead of being dense and greasy, is super-light, and not at all scary. Whether you’re looking to battle blemishes, reduce redness or revitalise the complexion, there are a variety of options for all concerns and any skin type.

The universally flattering tint illuminates all skin tones with a natural-looking radiance, while the gentle formula is ideal for even the most sensitive of skin types. Drunk Elephant's Umbra Tinte SPF had a light, creamy texture when I placed it on my hand, but it can be a bit sticky like a foundation when you apply it onto your skin. I feel like it just sits on my skin and that I have a layer of something on, it's not very breathable.

Each product in the Drunk Elephant range is formulated with a high percentage of active ingredients, all made at skin-friendly PH levels. It's traditionally used in South Africa to massage babies with and as a body lotion for face, feet, and hands. Oh, and it gets better; thanks to an infusion of raspberry seed and marula oils, it also delivers essential moisture and minimises the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It is difficult to formulate a sunscreen without using chemical screens or silicones, but we have done just that.

Umbra Tinte™ is formulated without any chemical sunscreens, which can be sensitizing and not as beneficial to skin as the naturally derived physical alternative zinc oxide.

It’s a nice ingredient that just feels good on the skin, is super well tolerated by every skin type and easy to formulate with. I tried this as soon as it was delivered as the reviews I had read were mixed, firstly I can’t smell anything, there really is no smell. Drunk Elephant never takes into account an ingredient’s synthetic or natural status, but instead chooses based on biocompatibility. Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense can be used each morning on the chest, neck and face.

Grape Juice Extract: With antioxidant properties, grape juice extract acts as a free radical scavenger and soothes skin. I also have very acne prone skin and I’m happy to say it has not caused any acne for me nor has it irritated any acne currently present on my skin.
