This 3 day course has been completely revised to align with the requirements of BS 7671:2018‘ Requirements for Electrical Installations - IET Wiring Regulations Eighteenth Edition’ including the changes brought about by the release of Amendment 2:2022. Many people assume that the new course will contain lots of extra content, however in reality it will still remain very similar to the old 17th Edition courses with some changes. Now, any outbuilding on a TN-S or TT earthing system can be bonded in accordance with the incoming cable protective conductor related to that building. This course is entirely theory-based and is completed by way of an online multiple-choice open book exam.

Students who are under 19 at the start of their course do not normally pay course fees, except for a few courses. The standard therefore covers the Extra Low Voltage (ELV) range (0-50V AC, 0-120V DC), and the Low Voltage (LV) range (50-1000V AC, 120-1500V DC).
