That being said, the moment I held the Brawler64 in my hands (before even playing any games with it) I knew playing my N64 would never be the same again.
As with the retired colors of the original Brawler64, the transparent colors of the wireless Brawler64 are extremely limited. These stands are custom laser cut from acrylic, proudly display the “Retro Fighters” logo and are finished off with pixel-style edges. Despite the omission of rumble capabilities I believe this controller to be the best purchase for those who want a wireless n64 one. I've been waiting a while for this and finally got myself one (apologies if there's already a review on here for this but i couldn't find one).The Brawler64 Wireless Edition still has the same great shape and ergonomic design you know and love.

It took less than five minutes to make the adjustment of the much needed analog stick, but I could not imagine playing Super MARIO 64 with the old trident controller. The oppressively short cable on the standard controller (and cord in general) has been a thorn in my side ever since I dusted off my N64 during the pandemic.This controller is awesome makes it supper easy and comfortable to play, very responsive and well built. The dongle can be a bit unwieldy, but otherwise the pros of not being bound by a wire outweigh the odd feel of the controller. Do you have the fantastic Tribute64, Brawler64 or Admiral BT wireless gamepads, but notice that the dongles that plug into the front of your console. Each button is very responsive (especially the joystick) and the ergonomic design of the controller fits very comfortably in my hands. The plastic used feels nice with its matte finish, but as usual with surface finishes like this, it’ll rub off on the long run and becomes shiny and slippery. It works wonderfully on the Switch as well, so awkward controls with the NSO N64 lineup are a thing of the past. Don’t get me wrong I was a fan of the original but when the analog stick wore out the aftermarket for them wasn’t great.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Providing a new and comfortable way to play your favorite classic N64 games on your PC or Mac, the next gen styled controller has a completely updated look over the original N64 controller. We recommend setting up the Brawler64 USB and calibrate all the inputs using the “Set Up USB game controllers” in the Windows control panel. While I doubt I’ll use it as a pro controller, that button is great for being able to access X/Y button functionality that doesn’t exist on the N64 controller. This is my goal, to have dedicated wireless controllers for systems with more esoteric controller designs.
