About this deal

Bluey finds a conch shell that she wants to show Mum and surprisingly, Dad allows her to go on a solo adventure to follow Mum. We work closely with publishers and authors to ensure that we offer the best books on the market for your child. However, her journey encounters obstacles in birds and other beach surprises that she finds along the way. Bluey: The Beach, a board book based on the animated TV series and published by Penguin Random House Australia’s Puffin imprint, has become the first children’s picture book to be named book of the year at the Australian Book Industry awards. Bluey has been a phenomenal success since airing on ABC KIDS in October 2018, amassing legions of dedicated fans and taking the coveted position of being the most watched program ever on ABC iView, with over 170 million plays.

Summary; Bluey: The Beach is the adventure a little blue heeler pup named Bluey takes while her family is on 'holiday'. Cut out and design your own sunnies, play dot-to-dot and get colouring with the help of all your favourite Bluey characters! Bluey is trying to follow Mom down the beach but different sea creatures keep getting in Bluey’s way! The surfer that Bluey meets is voiced be surfing legend Layne Beachley, who won the World Championship seven times and is also the chair of Surfing Australia. The font is easy to read, and I loved the choice bolded words that are good for early readers who are beginning to read. The story itself is engaging and entertaining, with just the right amount of humor and heartwarming moments. Bluey politely asks the cheeky pelican to move, but he stubbornly refuses, making her think she’ll have to turn around.

I recently picked up the Bluey children's book about being at the beach for my 4-year-old daughter, and it has quickly become one of her favorites. It's a fun text for lower level children because they can also relate to Bluey and the other adventures she goes on with and without her family. It's a wonderful reminder to adults of the magic of childhood, and a great way to introduce kids to the joys of reading. Behrouz Boochani has received another award for his book written from an Australian-run detention centre on Papua New Guinea’s Manus Island, No Friend But the Mountains – this time for the audiobook narrated by the Farsi translator Omid Tofighian and other high-profile Australians, including Benjamin Law, Isobelle Carmody, Janet Galbraith, Mathilda Imlah, Geoffrey Robertson, Richard Flanagan, Sarah Dale, Thomas Keneally and Yumi Stynes.Bluey has been a phenomenal success since airing on ABC KIDS in October 2018, amassing legions of dedicated fans and taking the coveted position of being the most watched program ever on ABC iView, with over 100 million plays. The Bluey books line has been a sales machine for PRH, with books from the series being the second-, third- and fourth-biggest selling children’s books in Australia in 2019.

Bluey is the latest hit in my house, and I can tell why as it is an excellent series that can appeal to both children and adults. Real-life soldier crabs are one of the few crabs that walk forwards, and their swarms march towards the ocean, not alongside it [2]. Bluey is an Australian children's television program by the Emmy award-winning Ludo Studio for ABC KIDS and is co-commissioned by ABC Children's and BBC Studios.
